Dutch people are quite aggressive and stressed

Stressed I'll believe .. But Aggressive I've not seen with my own eyes. I guess my sample set is quite small .. I only know 5 or 6 Dutch people really well. I have run in to Dutch people, while travelling, all over the world. Costa Rica, for example, has a large Dutch population.

The Dutch people I've met, have been for the most part polite and friendly. Some of the least aggressive people I know.

I guess you've had other experiences.

Okay then avoid fluroescent colours in Europe. Only Americans wear lots of bright orange, purple or pink.

In the part of holland i live you can find a lot of Aggressive people ;) but the most dutchies are friendly but stressed as hell.

It's easy to pick out the Dutch Webmasters at a show .. They have spikey hair, Nike (or Adidas clothing) and they're ALWAYS having a good time and/or drunk. :)

If I'm not sure that somebody's Dutch ... There's two fool proof ways to tell:

1) Listen for the language. If your first reaction is to try stop them from choking, they're probably speaking Dutch. For us native English speakers .. those are some tough sounds to make. Wish I could speak more Dutch

2) Just say as you walk by "Ik bent stoned zein" (I have no idea how to spell it) ... If they flash a great huge smile, they're Dutch.

Honestly, they say we have some of the best weed in the world here. I know for the last few years, it's won at the Amsterdam/high times thing they do.

The problem is consistancy. Most of the big growers grow a strain called "Juicy Fruit". We call it Fool's Gold. It looks kick ass .. And the American's buy it on the looks alone... But it doesn't smoke as nice or get you nearly as high as a nice hash plant does. You need to find a grower that's growing for local sales and/or friends only. They got the real good shit.

In short, we have some good weed .. But it's not as easy as going to a coffee shop.

Yeah we have it .. But you have to go to a Dutch speciality store .. And they import it. You can't find the same stuff on the shelves.

Damn that sounds good. The best stuff we have here is called Dutch Power with 25% THC, and i can tell you that stuff is great!

So around $250 per ounce for top quality? That is less than it is here by not by as much as I would have expected. Really good stuff around here cost around $400 an ounce and isn't so easy to find.

I met a Dutch girl while in Greece when I was 16 (in 1982), and ended up travelling to her town (Delft) in Holland to find her. I had a Canadian flag on my pack, and was amazed by the positive and warm reaction of so many strangers when they saw the flag. There were a lot more reactions to it than general indifference as I remember.

Assuming they could afford it, I think every parent should insist their kid goes back-packing somewhere distant and different before they turn 18. As that age it really opens your mind to new perspectives and realities before its too late and you end up the narrow minded know-it-all most of us end up becoming.
