Guns and rose's has never compared to Metallica in popularity, that's why they broke the tour early in 93 axcell couldn't handle being being iver shadowed.
I would say Nirvana had the biggest impact but over all still Metallicca I used to dig Testament, Beatie Boys, Primus, and the Chilis best.. |

my first ever concert was metallicas black album tour .. followed closely by Red hot chilli peppers / Nirvanna joint concert

I was at an MTV awards when they just got hot. These girls next to me were going nuts over Axel. I really didn't realize how big they were yet and asked her who they were.
