If my husband wouldn't have been sent to Germany in 2001, I would have been in Iraq by now! My best friend leaves in June and she's happy!

I find it ironic that people put the burden of naming known al-quada terrorists in Iraq pre-war, how many people could have named any of the terrorists that were involved in the September 11th attacks, before 9/11? only the intelligence agencies evidently?

The same goes for Iraq pre-war? it is certain that the majority of Al-Quada came to Iraq <I>After</I> the war started, but some fled to Iraq after the safe-haven of operating in Afghanistan was removed by the war, it is unlikely Saddam would have done anything about it, or even cared?

I don't think anyone could predict if Iraq or it's neighbours would have became the next safe-haven for terrorists worldwide, however they would go anywhere that is not an friendly to the U.S.

Justification for a war? who knows, there were articles written years in advance about the taliban, time magazine wrote articles about the ban on music, destruction of culture by the taliban, the talibans destruction of the religious statues of other cultures, mistreatment of women etc, however when it became evident that Al-Quada was using Afghanistan as a refuge it was decided to take them out.

It is old and I read it when it was first made public and is of little import to what is reality. The majority of Americans never believed that Saddam was responsible for 9/11. In response to a question that was polled they basically said that they would not put it past him.

While it is true that no wmd have been found, the perpetrator of the lie was Saddam, not Bush. Bush (and most of the rest of the world) fell for the lie. In a sense Saddam was brilliant, he could save some face and continue to maintain the illusion of a powerful Iraq simply by pretending that he might be hiding something. Unfortunately, he played the game little too well and waited too long to produce the evidence that he had dismantled his wmd programs.

However most of these radical factions within Saudi Arabia that threaten the US also oppose the governing Saud dynasty. You can't hold the actions of these groups against the state any more than you could the actions of FLQ against Canada.

Bush ruined the economy? Do you even understand why economies go up and down? Here are a few reasons for the recent decline in the US economy:

1. The stock market was severly over inflated during the dot-com bubble and related "irrational exuberance".
2. Decreases in communications/shipping costs have made offshoring more cost effective.
3. Rising commody prices in part due to China's booming economy
4. Various accounting scandals shook invester confidence

As for being unable to name a single thing he's done right, I can name two:
1. Invaded Afghanistan
2. Invaded Iraq
