I want to hear from people who are currently buying from us. Are you making money? Are you getting the traffic you thought you would? Are you converting?

I don't want a bunch of guys coming into this thread and saying Drinkinghard is a good guy or good peeps or whatever just to blow me up or do me a favor. I want the honest results of your advertising campaigns.

If you're not doing well please feel free to post in this thread. I want to know what we can do to help you. I would rather hear you are doing shitty and give us a chance to review what is going wrong and fix the problem. But at that same time if you are doing well with us please feel free to chime in as well.

Hi Slinx, I believe we are sold out on Madthumbs currently. But if you contact me, I would be glad to put you on our waiting list. We MIGHT have some spots opening up for March 1st dependent on renewals.

In regards to 600,000 to 1,000,000 hits a day, we are 90% sold out on sites across the board with us. However I might be able to set you up with someone who might be able to deliver.

The blind Video-Post links have not been working out for me at all. I bought 2 links for $500 each and to date, half-way into my campaign, I've made $170 bucks. I've received 12,417 hits in the past 14 days, that's an average 442 hits per link per day. The initial offering led me to believe that I would receive 2-4k per day per link. So as you can see, my results are way off. Although my sponsors are total niche, they've done VERY well for me on other tgp sites, but those were also gallery spots, not blind links.

I've already spoken to DrinkingHard and made some adjustments to the links, hopefully they'll pull more traffic and in turn sales. He's very helpful to change things around. I think competing with 38 other links though, there's simply not that much traffic to go around.

Well it seems I may the only one who is not over the moon

I bought a VideoPost text link on the basis that it would get around 2-4k/day of clicked traffic as quoted in the original post. Cost = $500.

First shot with it was using the term "Broadband Porn Movies" and pointing it to my DeluxePass Archive.
Only got around 1200 hits per day for 3 days and zero signups
0:3600 we normally do around 1:50 for SE traffic up to 1:2000 for shitty movie gallery traffic.

I figured that maybe we weren't getting the number of click-throughs because the term wasn't 'hard' enough so we changed it to "Ass 2 Mouth" which I pointed at my new Adultbouncer A2M niche video archive. Again got a regular 1200 hits a day with zero signups.

Next I figured that perhaps its my shitty design (I actually think they're pretty good!) of the archives and decided to leave the converting to the pros so I pointed the same "Ass 2 Mouth" link at the siccash Ass then Mouth paysite. Got the same 1200 hits per day and hurrah 1 signup in 2400 hits - but still I thought this ad isn't going to pay for itself with 1 join every two days.

Spoke to DH regarding the problems converting and he recommended sending the traffic to to ppc sponsor. Okay I think, so now I'm just trying to break even on the $500, so I make the change to Amateur Pages text link ppc using the approved text "500 free amateur pics".

Results with this so far are down to a regular 250 hits per day as counted by Amateur Money stats, revenue of $7/day Not that surprising give the fairly tame text link and the fact that its a video site!

We are not going to get close to breaking even on this campaign but then its only $500.....

In my opinion there where simply too many text links sold at the top of the page - if I had known there where going to be that many when I bought i wouldn't have bothered.

Same with me. I bought one link which converts consistently for a year but didn't get any sales in the first week. I changed my link to something else and I've made $75US on it. Weirdly enough, I got 2 signups(at $25each) in the first 24 hours of switching it and only 1 since then.

I won't make my money back, but that comes with any advertising... you have to try things out first then go with what works the best. When I first bought the spots the original screenshot showed, teen, hardcore, mature, etc and that they were forsale. When they were being sold, I thought it was those links exactly that were being sold. At that time there were just 2 lines of links there and it was easy to read. Now it's almost 5 full lines or 2-3 word descriptions that are all screaming for attention and that has definitely affected the amount of click-throughs.

Maybe I read the original thread wrong about the spots but it seemed clear that they were 1 word links to a particular niche being sold and now there are links in the niche I thought I bought exclusively going to sites I compete with.

Like I said in my post though. Some advertising works on some sites better than others. I promote a certain type of site. I was just confused about the top links and what I thought I was going to get compared to what I think I got.

He's right... I am gettin a nice amount of hits to my link, but I was very surprised to see all those 3 word links that were sold... I hope next month a lot of you wont buy them again, so that the ones that renew get some decent traffic.

Some of your listings are fairly priced, allowing for a reasonable profit, while others are over priced. To be more specific, the sites that you initially started selling for are mostly all priced well, and allow the purchaser to make some profit.

My link on the top of video-post isn't doing well at all but I guess sometimes you win and sometimes you loose I did get sales but not nearly enough to cover the $500. It depends on a lot of different things such as what is being advertised and with what kind of description because there are others that are doing well with these VP links

I got you all beat, I'm at $0 so far.. way too many links were sold. I thought i was going to be one of 5-6 links at the top. I blame it partly on myself since the site wasn't fine tuned to an mpg audience.. but the deal seemed way too good at the time to pass up, I figured if I converted at 1:2,000 I'd still make a profit, but just haven't gotten many hits and no signups thus far. Live and learn.

What we have decided to do for next month is only offer 25-30 paid text links on Video-Post. This will significantly improve the amount of traffic each paid text link receives. This is down from the 41 paid text links we currently have on the site. Just one thing to note is that the 41 text links we have on the video-post site right now are the same amount that was on the page before we added these paid text links. It seems that some people have 3 word long descriptions which makes it seem that there are more text links now then what there was before. In reality it is the same amount of text links.

The price will be reduced also to $400 for an entire month versus the $500 which is currently charged now.

We want everyone to make money plain and simple and I hate hearing about anyone losing money with us. Again I would be happy to suggest alternate promoting ideas for those of you who are not doing so well with their text links.

Disasterous results before and after all the tweaks we went through. Call it a learning experience I guess.

I did not do well on Video-Post either, i bought a month gallery listing on videpost which only brought in a sale every 3 or so days, When I list them on my own Site which has less traffic then videopost, I can do 7 to 10 in a 24 hour period

thats very strange, video-post used to give me some high listings a while back and I would always convert on those spots. His traffic is pretty solid I wonder if things have changed.
