who said it had anything to do with the french? when did they "run away"? all i remember is them trying to protect their oil contracts and investments the way any country would do.

very naive but at least you accept it was one of the reasons. The US didn't invade to put the resource in the hands of the people.. lol. the US doesn't even really want them to have a real democracy - hell *I* don't want to risk them having a real democracy, they're not ready for it - it would be very close to being another islamic state if real elections were held today. Hooray we would have created another Iran. At least Saddam kept a reasonably secular state. |
