What would be really smart is for you to stop being insulted by the facts and actually accept them. Nothing says you can't learn to BE a pro, but don't get offended if nobody calls you one when you aren't one. That's like being pissed off that nobody calls you a police officer when all you've done is take the courses but never passed any tests.

Paul is an ass and he tells it like he sees it. I'm not trying to be a bitch either although I might come off as that. I'm stating facts. You need to face those if you want to stay in business :)

RRACY 01-28-2004 10:54 AM

$1.50 per image and ten-fifteen dollars per minute of solo/video:2 cents:

Almost every one of those photos is brokered and/or published through various stock photography agencies, and in various books and periodicals.

I don't want to teach your photographers, pal, you can pay for them to take courses, but the simple fact remains that Paul shoots pro quality and you or your people do not. Are you going to deny that? I'm sure Paul would be pleased to list a full portfolio of magazines where his work has been published. How about you? I don't publish my adult work, only my mainstream. I shoot adult though and I sure as hell can tell when something is shot by a professional, an amateur, or even a pro-amateur.

Well, I thought you were more smart to not to piss into this topic in such manner, so if you did you sould know the following.

I'm always interested in others objective opinion about my products, but your comments kinda drops a shadow on that webmasters and content providers who bought, buying and will by content from me. I will not tell their names, or this topic will become a total GFY war.

And tell me one more thing, please, what is all that landscape/animal photoes in the topic? I've did a mistake here, what can you teach my photographers if all what u can show is that lanscapes.

I don't see it as war. In fact I'm not sitting here saying YOU SUCK. I'm simply saying you don't shoot magazine quality content. Are you contesting that?

I also NEVER claimed that I could "teach" your photographers either, I do believe I said that I wasn't interested.. you asked for proof that I'm a photographer, the images I showed you are images that I've sold and/or had published in books, magazines, etc.

Maybe a better grasp on the english language and a few lessons in logic would make you realize that a little better. Try READING what I'm saying and UNDERSTANDING it, instead of just spouting off :P

As for getting into a piss, I'm waiting for some photos to scan, and my negative scanner is pissing me off. You are just idle amusement, my dear.

Lykos 01-28-2004 11:15 AM

Finallly someone have a balls to thel that to hgim in face...
How ever again...i respect your work and you make damn good content but your behaving is not good at all Paul...
We all can be friend here but....O whatever i am not going to talk anymore...
Have a nice day all of u here:thumbsup

Well thank you RRACY for answering essentially. It's quite rare here.

RRACY 01-28-2004 11:22 AM

No problem:) Do you use flash/strobes when you shoot? It looks like your photos are a little yellow.

Yes i'm using them.
Well, I never do color correction (in photoshop e.g.) I think it could be done better by designers of my customers. Anywhere if you interested in try, I can give you an original of this photo I've posted right from the flashcard, so U can try do it there.

Contact me via ICQ (18822023) or email: vpbiz[at]nichefetish.com
for samples and references.

Talk to me after we get back from Thailand. Could be in the market to buy content and come out to see you. But not before the weather in Sofia gets better.

But from what I see I doubt if your guys have a lot to learn. At least you corrected the levels before you posted. Nice picture. :thumbsup

As was Nydahls, yes I remember, and MichaelAncher. Guys who do not insult the words pornographer and photographer.

RRACY 01-28-2004 11:46 AM

I'm not a photoshop guy either:1orglaugh I have my camera set AWB and shoot with strobes and don't have yellow photos. What type of camera are you using? I have the Canon 10D:Graucho

AWB can do a kind of bad joke with you. If you're using 10D u can set up color temperature descrimed in your light's manual. And you probably have to do it. Your picture will be more natural then.

For example try to shoot model on snow with AWB and see what you'll get.

But does the surfer want to see it, when he's jerking off.

And if you want some advice you might like to read this I wrote a little while ago.

http://www.contentspotlight.com/centerstage.php?item=9

There are four articles there. I'm always willing to share what I know and freely admit I can still learn.

And if you cannot take the critisism don't ask for peoples opinion on GFY. You are likely to get it here a little bit to the point.

Me I can take it. LOL

I remember reading Paul's articles on Xbiz two years ago.:) Being a good internet photog is much easier to achieve than a good webmaster. The most important thing to do is read about photog, have good equipment, and have hot models or at least a makeup artist.

He doesn't pretend that he does though, nor is he pretentious enough to claim to or be insulted when someone says he DOESN'T shoot magazine level.

Yeah, it sucks so bad it's some of the best amateur-style content to be had anywhere on the net :P You shooting glamour or magazine stuff would be a travesty. Very few capture the amateur look with the amount of technical expertise you do.

Nobody better than Brian Bradley doing what he does - amateur teens. Nobody gets more value for $150 per custom exclusive set than a Wanton customer. Scott Delamo the glamour photographer from Cloud 9 Contenet simply couldn't believe Brian could shoot what he does for what he sells for. Part of that is that Scott knows what the girls are paid and it ain't that cheap.

May be my price very low?

My new price:

Solo Girl - 100 euro for 100 images or 1 movie (30 min)

Min volume - 3 sets or 3 movies with 1 model

isn't an euro one of those greek sandwiches? wow, what a trade!

MixPhoto 01-29-2004 11:45 AM

I want developing normal price for custom solo girl shoot but don`t receive normal answer for my question...

Mutt 01-29-2004 11:52 AM

$100-200 a set is the range for solo girl custom exclusive sets. also depends on how many sets the customer takes on a girl.
I'd say the average is $150 per set. Realize the market for this stuff isn't very big. Video is taking over in a big way from stills though the need for stills will never go away.

there's your answer Mix. you shoot in Russia, my guess is you pay models 1/10th of what it costs us - so u can sell for $150 per set and make a nice profit.

But nobody's really interested in stuff that looks like it's trying to be glamour, I can't think of one glamour site that buys large amount of custom content.

Me and Dean Capture priced out the cost of a custom exclusive glamour shoot a few weeks ago - you are talking about $500 per set minimum - nobody's paying that.
