She is an indoor cat and its nice and warm in my place. I do it once a year and she loves it. She runs and jumps all over the place because she is not weighted down by all that long hair.

My persian loves it too. He'll lay down on his back on the floor so you can scratch his belly.. instead of scratching just fur.

The other cats get a blast out of chasing the tuft of fur on the end of his tail.

It's called a "lion's cut".

My cat can't get it done anymore though. He has to be zonked out to be groomed like that and because of some health problems, anesthesia is to be avoided unless absolutely medically neccessary.
