Jules Jordan Video files lawsuit against adultbouncer.com

On December 8, 2003, Jules Jordan Video, Inc., a premier adult
entertainment company that creates and distributes high-end adult content
for DVD/video sales and for its website, www.julesjordan.com, and its sole
principal, Ashley Gasper, filed a complaint for injunctive relief and
damages in the United States District Court for the Central District of
California, against 1433965 Ontario, Inc. (doing business on the internet as
AdultBouncer.com and AdultBouncer), an adult access verification service,
and its President, Roberto Contaldi, for violation of 17 U.S.C. §§ 501 et
seq. (copyright infringement, vicarious liability and contributory
infringement), violation of unfair business practices (unfair competition -
common law, California Business & Professions Code § 17200 et seq. and false
advertising - Lanham Act § 43(a)), false and misleading advertising (common
law and California Business & Professions Code § 17500 et seq.), violation
of right of publicity (California Civil Code § 3344), and tortious
interference with prospective economic advantage.

Jules Jordan Video, Inc. is confident that they will
prevail in restraining, and obtaining damages as a result of, AdultBouncer.com
and all defendants? continuous and systematic infringement of their
copyrighted material and violations of their rights of publicity. Jules
Jordan Video will not stand for infringement of its proprietary rights and will be vigilant in prosecuting claims against
any future infringers.

That's nothing. One of the newest AB sites is all ripped from the Hustler (LFP Inc) Asian Fever series.

oh that's a nice catch there.

just take the whole fucking thing down and DP with it. free up about 100,000 movie hungry paysite members for the sites who work their asses off and spend tens of thousands of dollars on their own movies.

i prefer to call it what it really is - 'STOLEN' content.

sad how no matter how many times they are caught they just go on merrily allowing piece of shit little webmasters to upload more stolen content to feed the machine. and worse they and their co-conspirators laugh at the studios. i have had emails from these little fuckers telling me how stupid the studios are and how they can't do shit to them.

Jules should inquire to his lawyer about suing on behalf of the hundred other studios being stolen from. More money in damages to be had there than in selling DVDs - literally 10's of millions of dollars. The screencaps individually carry damages of I think 8,000 dollars - 20 screencaps = $160,000

Adultbouncer is the king of all sponsors for hotlinking boards. They just sell memberships to their hotlinking and dvdrip avs sites.

Think guys Think , if you got such a company as adultbouncer then would you allow to let your webmasters getting ripped or stolen movies up and running ? 1. you need to create your site
2. you need to let your site getting aproved
3. when it is aproved they will check it on a regular basis
4. This aint a company where only 1 guy is working on ???????????
and believe me , if someone from the abstaff is seeing even 1 sinple movieclip thats NOT from ab , that webbies account would be deleted ASAP !!!!!!!!! they arent stupid

typical little AB asswipe - they all sound alike - morons who do AB's bidding. You get 500 of these thieves to build a couple of these movie archives, they each average 2 or 3 signups a day - that's 1000 joins a day. And with the ungodly amount of stolen premium movie content inside the members retain for months and months - that's how u build a 60,000 recurring member empire.

Both AB and DP were built on stealing from the movie studios. And with a big assist from the cocksuckers at AdultLegal.

My question has always been where the fuck was the Bible of the Adult Video Industry - Adult Video News/AVNOnline - when this rape was occurring? Selling banners to AB and DP. Piece of shit rag.

I love this thread, it's a very important thread - so important that I will be regularly bumping it every few days to remind the thieves that my friends from the studios are awakening. And to you pissant thieves who have archives at AB and DP - the next lawsuit is against you and there is still time for Jules to amend his lawsuit to include ALL affiliates of the Bouncer system - it shouldn't be hard for a judge to grasp that affiliates are MUCH MORE than affiliates in AdultBouncer, they are in fact PARTNERS, who receive financial gain from the thousands of copyright infringements on AdultBouncer.

Lensman is a content producer and provider and knows how frustrating it is to see his intellectual property stolen.

hmmmmmmmmm........ this is interesting. DVD ripping seems to be covered by Sec 1201 as DVD's are encrypted - $500,000 would hurt, 5 years in the crowbar saloon would hurt more.

Sec. 1204. Criminal offenses and penalties

`(a) IN GENERAL- Any person who violates section 1201 or 1202 willfully and for purposes of commercial advantage or private financial gain--

`(1) shall be fined not more than $500,000 or imprisoned for not more than 5 years, or both, for the first offense; and

because they are the sole distributors of those DVD licenses and do very little to enforce and police what happens to that content.
What's the point of paying $250 for a DVD if it's going to show up on 1,000 sites. A broker should protect its customers to the same extent that a content provider running his own licensed shop would.

then there's the whole AVS usage that studios were never told about nor educated about. No content provider would ever allow that - ask Charly, ask JoeAMA, ask Cloud9, ask Matrix, ask AaronM -

Hrm... So is it that the movies were straight up stolen? Or is it that middle men and adult legal never told the producer how many sites the content could end up on?

I guess what I am asking is whether the problem is in people just stealing movies and putting them in the site or if it is that they buy one licence to a movie and make a shitload of AVS site and spread them out on a shit load of domains?

Or is it both?

I guess what I am asking is whether the problem is in people just stealing movies and putting them in the site or if it is that they buy one licence to a movie and make a shitload of AVS site and spread them out on a shit load of domains?

Or is it both?

no - in this case - it's just outright theft. Jules Jordan nor Evil Angel do any licensing of any kind.

the AVS thing is another issue.

What's the point of paying $250 for a DVD if it's going to show up on 1,000 sites. A broker should protect its customers to the same extent that a content provider running his own licensed shop would.

then there's the whole AVS usage that studios were never told about nor educated about. No content provider would ever allow that - ask Charly, ask JoeAMA, ask Cloud9, ask Matrix, ask AaronM -
Personally I don't get the problem with AVS that you mention, if you licence it for your site and your selling your 1 site deluxepass (which is a large bunch of sites) then you give your affilates some content to promote it whats wrong with that, its the same as a paysite owner running an affialte program with a bunch of sites and giving out free promo content. As far as it goes, the licences are for unlimited domain licences, some are brought direct from RedlightD who know exactly whats going on. If they know whats going on and know about deluxepass then others will surely know, they are the best series that Adultlegal have.

And yes AB is so guilty of copyright infringement in this case, I remember Rami's movie archive 6 months ago had some of Jules Joran Flesh hunter movies in it, they were in the same site as some cleanly unlicenced "Girls gone wild" movies. Serious copyright infringement these AB people are just nuts. They have that much money and don't go 100% legit. They will certainly get hit hard by this lawsuit cause they are so guilty.

Copyright movie infringement needs to stop in this industry and this is a good step in the right direction, good luck Jules.

You don't 'get the problem' because you don't want to get it.

Why do you think web companies come to me and other people selling custom content and pay alot of money for exclusive movies and photos? One of the reasons is so they can LEGALLY give their affiliates that content to promote their websites. Get real here son.

Do you honestly think that when you license content from Paul Markham, AMA Content, MatrixContent and a hundred others that YOU have been granted the right to GIVE that content away to affiliates to use to promote your and in an AVS systems case, the affiliates' sites? No - EVERY web content license includes language to cover that. IF you want to use the content in ANY other way you must go to the content provider and negotiate with them and PAY them what they want for that usage. Why do you think you don't see ALL the AVS systems giving away all this free content? Because they all know they have no right to do what AB and DP do. And as for AdultLegal, they let it happen - a broker doesn't give a shit about anything but making a sale.

As for Redlight District, I spoke to Dion Giarussi a year ago, he had NO idea, had NEVER been informed by anybody what an AVS is, how his content was being used - I showed him hundreds of AVS sites belonging to AB and DP, sites not owned by AB and DP, but by affiliates totally built around Redlight content. There are hundreds of people who are very lucky Dion is not of the same mindset as Jules Jordan.

Don't talk about what you don't know about - http://www.redlightrevenue.com - go to the bottom of the page -
I am familiar with Redlight and consider them friends.

It's possible that Redlight has given some people the okay on certain extended uses, I know they are contacted alot by people - I don't speak about what I don't know about. I do know I told them that the usage DP and others have undertaken with the content is worth at least the raw cost of producing an exclusive video. I have a new customer who now buys exclusive videos from me because 1)he wants to be able to do what he wants with his content 2) the Redlight content gets so overexposed so quickly it doesn't convert.

Redlight hasn't seen a fraction of what that content is worth. And you know it. And AdultLegal knows it. And AdultBouncer knows it. And DeluxePass knows it.

Seems to me Dion doesn't seem to give too much of a shit. This guy is losing millions the way AL enforces his license.

Also now Zero Tolerance license their movies via AL so their stuff too will be all over 5.000+ websites in around 6-8 weeks.
