You must never leave your computer. Hustler is one of the largest adult entertainment companies in the world and it's not because of their magazines anymore. They evolved as the magazine business started going downhill.

They are HUGE in Video, Big on the net and growing fast, big in retail, strip clubs, casino, clothing line, etc, etc.

You have to lead a very sheltered life if you really believe that Hustler is still just an old school magazine company.

Now...regarding your point above. Pure adult Internet companies have kicked ass on the big brand names for years. That is no secret.

All I'm suggesting is that Hustler is catching up fast and will be right there with some of the leaders like MilfHunter, etc. Why? Killer content.....

For years, this biz was more about billing schemes than it was about content. A company like Hustler is not going to get involved in ripping off customers, so for a long time they could not really compete.

That is changing fast with new Visa/MC regs and customers sick of getting ripped off. They are flocking to sites that they TRUST and sites that offer Original, High Quality Content. Hustler is now very well positioned to become one of the leading on-line companies.

But I agree with you that some of the great sites out there like MilfHunter are getting much more mainstream and will continue to do very well also.

Bottom line - Old school companies who have not learned out to evolve....WILL die. Those that can play by the new rules, will survive and prosper....

Not sure which gig you're talking about. If you really knew anything about Hustler you would know that they don't have an in-house Internet dept and havn't for almost 3 years. That is handled by my company (WebQuest), along with Vivid, Ed Powers and a few others.

I applaud what you have done with the program. I have said this before and I will repeat it now....for those of you that do not see what the Flynt family is doing you are asleep at the wheel.

I do not know The Fly....I do know that seeing what the cash program has done coupled with what is happening with recent acquisitions, and a big 30 year anniversary in 04....The Hustler brand has never been so red hot in the public eye.

There are big things coming out of 8484 Wilshire folks you can either be behind it or be under it.

Some people can see down the road...others choose not to...

Umm, ok. What's wrong with using pics, doube opt-in lists and exits to sell sponsors?

What do you think sells better:

1. A quality free site targeting "Hustler Brand" keywords (for SE traffic) with about 10-30 free softcore censored images. Site has good banners, text links and half page/full page ads mixed in including an exit console chain (how ever many u feel is comfortable). All linked up correctly in your chain of sites so you have proper link popularity and you end up ranking for terms like "Huster, Hustler Magaine" etc..

or

1. Giving away movies in whatever marketing idea you're thinking of (MGP, Hosted Galleries etc..).

There's a place for both methods out there and it's closed minded, short sighted and NOT thinking ahead to think that only 1 way of marketing works.

Fly. Using Pics, "Opt-in Emails" and Exits does work and it is considered thinking ahead. You're maximizing your traffic to get the most amout of sales.

Anyways, it's Halloween and I got stuff to go do so I'm not looking for a piss match. I'm just surpised to find someone who's selling a "how to" book on this who thinks that without movies you can't promote a sponsor. Kinda interesting perspective.

But it's all good. We all have our marketing techniques. Do whatever works for you. If you think using movies is the ONLY way to market and it works for you go for it.

We're always adding different promo tools for webmasters to use. I'll make sure to put this on our list :-)
