Joining the world in doing what......allowing terrorism to run rampant, totally unchecked and unchallenged for close to 40 years now? The UN hasn't done ANYTHING at all about terrorism, and hideous genocides that have been occuring on a constant basis since the 60s. How does the UN suddenly get a prize for being so wonderful?

When terrorism starts to drop worldwide you will start to see the world think again about what's going on. In the meantime, the goverments of the middle east and elsewhere are not going to be openly backing terrorists, like they have been, for at least as long as we hold to the present policies and troop deployments. Remember, the rogue dictatorships that abound around the world, (and for some reason are NEVER critisized on this board), will do whatever it take to stay in power, including throwing their terrorist friends to the wolves.

The USA doesn't care about dictatorships and genocide. In fact they love those things because it usually means cheap labor for their companies. The only reason Iraq was different is because they don't do much for global commerce.
