Limp Bizkit Covering The Who?

Just when I thought Fred Durst had already fucked up the entire music industry and all future generations - I see an mtv commercial where's he's recording "behind blue eyes" for their new album...

What's this world coming too?

Well he already expressed his latent homosexual feelings by singing Faith by George Michael.

Oh man don't download that it's a virus.

I downloaded it and next thing I know some guy who thinks he can sing started to do his version of The Who's Blue Eyes.

Fuck and Norton didn't even pick it up.

j/k it wasn't too bad.

Hate to say this, but the who sucks.
Always have, and always will.
Baba O'Riley is their only song worth a listen, and it's not even all that good once Pete opens his yapper...
Plus, most people think it's called something else entirely.

Fred is doing them a favor.

Hopefully someone (besides Puffy or any other monotonic no talent rapper for that matter) will resurrect some Zeppelin tunes.
They are due for some serious covers.

I like the who, but they most definetely have more bad albums than good....just like the stones do, and the kinks as well.

The song "The Real Me" Off of Quadrophenia is fucking amazing, go download it, or if you want it I've got it.

The who should've broken up the day Moon ODed.
Nobody in the world could fill his shoes...he just had too much fucking raw energy. Kenny Jones failed miserably.

everyone covers anything these days...rare that it is a tribute and much more rare to find a cover that improves on the original.

Mike Patton does a lot of excellent covers, particularly live. Other than that, most covers are shit.

Limp Biskit is shit whether they're doing a cover or an original.

Fred Durst is B list and quickly slipping to C. Hopefully this will be his final farewell.

Ever hear of the vindictives? They did an album called "Partytime for Assholes", it's all covers of little known 80s songs and commercials. It's fucking fantastic. The rest of their stuff is hit or miss, mostly miss.

there isn't that much of them available over here but what I have heard I like. I would love to get Rainbow Connection.

So, I guess out of the bits I have heard 'You've Got A Friend' is great and Build Me Up Buttercup gets my kudos because I love just about any version of that song.

I belive I can fly is getting some video play over here now.

Right up my alley.

Build Me Up Buttercup...I think someone did a version of that for the movie Clueless. Punk chicks, but I can't remember the name.
