Ibill and CCbill conversion rates

Just wondering about the experiences of other webmasters promoting sites using these two billing companies. I'm an affiliate for a set of websites that are offering both options, and I have affiliate accounts for both. On my sites I have spread the affiliate codes randomly, with the following result:

The Ibill affiliate code gives me a conversion rate of 1:185
The CCBill affiliate code so fas has 0:3350 !

This makes me wonder what's the amount of credit cards that CCBill is refusing for "security reasons". Or are they shaving that badly??

CCBill is an awesome company with great conversion rates. The question lies in which programs you are using, how the traffic is sent and whether or not the content is overused. If you are having problems converting, contact the company you are advertising for and ask them for some suggestions.

If the programs offer both options, switch the iBill links with the CCBill links to see how you do then.

In our own experience iBill does about 10-15% better than CCBill.

Yes, I actually have to say that I like CCBill a lot, never had problems with them. Now just wondering a bit though. This is not a question of how the traffic is sent or of overused content. As I said, the links are spread randomly, so why does IBill give me far better conversions?

Love CCBill, but gotta admit, I am getting way more declines than ever with them. Scrub is set really high I think.

I think CCbill scrubs harder than ibill..

which could be good or bad depending on your CB rate

CCBill sites have been really bad converters for us since early August... Until then convertions were great.

Same here. August was bad, but in September conversion rates for all my CCBill sites have been a joke. Pretty bad one though...

I use to use ibill back in the day. It seems like my conversion ratios where better. I use ccbill now , and chargebacks are literally like non-exsistant. With both processors check returns where crazy so i stopped taking checks period!! I am tempted to switch to ibill for a few weeks just to see how it looks however I am having remember having nightmares dealing with their tech support, customer service, and their cmi interface... so I think I will stick with ccbill, I never have any problems and they are usually more than helpfull...

One.

I'm preety sure maxcash use ccbill. I usually do preety descent with them, but this month is seriously off.

Replaced a few of their ads today since they weren't showing any sign of coming around this month.

I mentioned this several times before and you told me that the scrub isn't adjusted like that.

My conversions went from 1:60 to zip in a week. I pulled my ppc se ads because of it.

We use both CCBill and iBill. CCbill definitely has lower conversions, but we continue to use them because we think they are a good, solid (as solid as possible) company and we don't want to put all of our eggs into 1 scary iBill basket.

stocktrader23, if I had specific program information, then I could check it out to see if there anything strange with that program. Maybe the owner changed their signup page or their custom setup recently, I don?t know?I want to check the stats of the account to see if there is anything peculiar over the past few months?

Globally, we are not seeing anything strange or unexpected

As far as scrub goes, we scrub credit cards to prevent risky transactions from going through, and imo, it works very well in the reduction of chargebacks. We are all on the same team here; we all want good transactions to come through our system.

But like I said, if anybody sends me the info, I will be happy to look at it?I still don?t have anything in front of me

Hey.. its not a specific program... it seems ot be acrossed the board. We have about 25 ccbill sponsors as well as our own paysites. We are getting about 50% of our confirmation emails coming back as declines. I times past we might get one or two declines a week. The funny thing is... I can get 30 decline emails a day and when I check the "Decline" stats in the ccbill admin it shows just a couple.

Its not due to our chargeback ratio.. ours is well under the 1% The trend has been that a good week or day is followed be a slower day. Once our sales reach a certain mark above our daily avarage the next week or day is folllowed by a day that balances our avarage back out. Its a trend that we have followed now for about three months and it seems to be holding true. There has been growth, but not at the rate our traffic and sites have increased.

We are on the phone all day, everyday with webmasters. The people in this thread are not the only one experiencing this intense scrubbing. We understand why you have to do it of course.... but its got to the point where it is very noticable.

We understand that you might need some checks and balances, but I also think it is important that you let your webmasters in on them. Help us understand.

We have also noticed your great day, bad day, great day average day, bad day great day. One day we do twice the signups of the day before with the same traffic, next day we do half those signups. We have talked about it and we really think it has to do with scurbbing. Certainly noticeable. We don't use ccbill, we use epoch though
