Google Lesson #3: How to deal with spammers that took over your niche
.. you lost your top10 ranking against a bold spammer, shit! never, ever post this shit on a public board, dont take it public at all or you will never be top10 in that niche again.
why? 1. if that niche keyword really does well then the spammer you want to get rid of will endlessly fight back.. 2. other spammers become aware of those keywords and will put you down to position 50+. you reall dont need this. 3. newbie spammers can learn by example and even more spammers will be in game. so what can you really do? 1. report to google [and/or] 2. beat the spam |

better than reporting really is just outranking: the spammer is still in the index and will concentrate on different niches. if he is taken out by google he will be back much more agressive, i guess.

if the spammer was serious then there's nothing going to stop them... their site might get dumped but im sure they will have others in the pipeline

why are they a spammer if they get a higher listing then you? so if you adjust your pages and be back to a higher listing are you now the spammer?

In some other thread someone said a while back:
You on top of Google results --> Good SEO Others on top of Google results --> Spamming I can't agree more to that!!! However a few of Terenzos thoughts have some solid ground... e.g. don't mention a niche or it'll be flooded... wsjb78 __________________ <br>Check backlinks of your sites Get your Daily Google PR list here ICQ: 171751720 <--> Wassup with lil2rich4u2 <--> Always looking for new Sponsors ![]() |

yep, so it is best to live WITH the spam, trying to outrank it. your sites will look much better to surfers if they compare them to the spam... and as long as the spammer sees some of his sites in the serps he will not turn back to those keywords... ... if one spammer (or just few) is dominating your keywords never tell anyone, this just would attract many other spammers to join the game, you will never see your site in the serp anymore. then: 1 spammer dominating = easy to get in = free money |

I thought you were going to say to plug their url's into some search engine submission software and bombard all the search engines until the domain gets blacklisted

There is a certain webmaster who's currently hijacked a lot of niches with his one or two domains but 100's of doorway pages all linked which is how he gets a good placement.
I spoke to a friend of mine who's an SE guru and his only advise was to complain to Google giving as many details as possible to get them deleted but.. He added, it would take 3 months for them to vanish So none of us can do anything unless we operate in exavtly the same way... |

he probably needs 1 month to build an interlinked network, so he will be 3 times as powerful when the old sites are gone. |

doorway pages...
isnt porn all about doorways? arent the gallery builders the worst? if google banned all doorways and the pages which are crosslinking with them you could not find one tgp/gallery anymore... what would be left then? |

Terenzo
I don't have to mention the niches but a clue to one of them is in my signature... LOL. I had not just 1 in the top 10 for a few of my domains but I could have over 12/20 on page one as all are legitimate links to other sites of mine.. Until the arsehole came along.. |

I see Terenzo's point of view and I have to agree with him.
You see if you do a lot of SEO, work hard to get good rankings for "your" niches and someone else can put you off your throne easily and you post that on boards then you achieve the following: 1.) You tell others what you do and try to achieve. Hence since you do operate in that niche you must think you can get something out of it and others want to have a share of that cake also hahahaha> New competitors 2.) You admit that your SEO isn't bullet-proof and that anyone with some knowledge can bet you in ranking hahahaha> New competitors / More spammers 3.) You tell other spammers how to place their sites ahead of anyone else. They will learn by example. They will learn how to get listed high, they will learn how not to be detected... You may get rid of this spammer for a short while but once he's out of the ranking he'll adapt and be back even harder. Maybe the sites then are so good that you can't have him banned anymore... Best thing is just to be quiet of spammers and optimize your site that way that you're ranked before that spammer... make him crawl back to ranking 5+!
