This argument is stupid. I am stupid for arguing with a child. Tony_A is stupid. Racism is stupid.

Fuck off.

Besides, Canada is a very important country. Pam Anderson comes from there.
Yep, you got me there. Pam Anderson.

The statement was not who cares what asians think but, I love openminded asians.

Your attempt to change the statement and the undertones of it are weak at best.

I see me being attacked as asian to bolster the side of the Canadians.

Sad really.

You might want to do just a tad more research before you make another post like this one.

Just a suggestion.

Well simply saying "who cares what asians think?" has racial undertones in it and is much different than an american saying "who cares what canadians think about american politics".

Look at the whiney Canadians.

Your poll. Who cares what the Canadians think? You don't offer any support to the U.S. cause, why do you think you matter on U.S. policy?

Simple question.

Simple answer, you don't.
Who's whining??

It is not only the Canadians that express opinions/polls on a country that has caused many problems lately. Most of the world is looking in disbelief at US Admin incompetence - tho that is nothing new over the past few years.

Since the US is now seeking *any* international help it can muster to keep it out of the shit, - I doubt your comments about support by Canada are valid. Bluntly... you can't afford the luxury about moaning about places like Canada when you are asking them and other countries to provide support and bail the US out of the swamp.

Canada like the majority of countries did not believe a load of lies as justification for a war. Clearly they were right - who is dumb??

BTW.. you will get the "handouts", simply because others are concerned about Iraq and elsewhere, but not under the "rules" of the current US Admin.

Webby,

Good post and I can see your point. However, my original reply to the post of a Canadian poll on U.S. policy. It is a moot point.

We receive no support from Canada in the matters of Iraq.

??? Canadians and anyone else can have polls on whatever subject they like - what's your point??

The poll simply reflected opinions of Bush which I suspect are global - not exactly a surprise.

Agree, the US does not receive support from Canada - nor the majority of other countries - in Iraq. The international community already made up their minds over the "evidence" on Iraq and dismissed it - hence no support.

PS. This "evidence" was long known to be false/deceitful - international orgs know far more about the middle east than the US Admin and have known over a long period of time - long before Bush was ever elected to anything.

While the US has not received any direct Military support in Iraq ( I mean our Army is better known for it's sexual escapades than for fighting these days) we are helping out in Afghanistan now.

Canada in Afgahnistan

If this poll was about Afghanistan versus Iraq, you would have a point, and the poll would be taken for it's value.

cause I happened to see a pic of you the other day On gfy and remebered that you were Asian. I thought that by saying "i loved open minded Asians" you would pick up on the stupidity of what I was saying and realize that i was poking fun at what you said....not who or what you are as a person.

Fair enough. Peace. It's why I had to ask the question I did to you. I've only heard good things about you and being racist was not one of them.

The slight difference is that Chretien has not taken Canadia into a war based on lies. He is not responsible for killing 1000's of innocent people, maiming 1000's more, leaving people starving and without decent medical attention, - the list is endless. Then, asking the rest of the world to help Canada out. Duh??

I am not familiar with the history of Chretien, but knowing *nothing* about him, - I'd have little doubt he has more savy than Bush any day. Hell, *any* leader in the western world has more sense and experience than Bush.

You might have a point if the question was worded more like 'has the war in iraq turned into a quagmire?'. Instead the way it's worded seems (to me at least) to be more about peoples opinions of Bush than about if iraq has turned into a quagmire.
But that doesn't really matter. I was attempting to point out the difference between two remarks which were not equal.

edit just to be fair: To be honest I didn't even know what the poll was about until you asked if Iraq was a state. heheh

Canada was and still is involved in the Afghanistan situation. We have lost soldiers to ... the US Aviation....

Our opinions or polls are as important than the one in the UK that was backing the US, unless you only consider polls that satisfies your own political and military agenda... In fact, all opinions are to be considered as a pulse on the perception of this hawk administration.

I hope that Canada will help the Iraqi population ( medecine, water, food, ...) but will not replace US troops as occupiers.

Think what you must...

Fact of the matter is it doesn't matter to me. US loss of life there doesn't matter to me -- either.

I dislike socialists... be they from Canada or France.

So?

Say what you will about our pathetic military, but at least I dont have to worry about U.S. marshalls busting down my door in the middle of the night. Do you.....????
Here Here, I feel safe in my home as a Canadian, and I don't worry about being yanked into a war I know nothing about
