Times are changing, for the better? I don't know. Many of us got into this industry when it was young, when nobody knew what partner programs where and MaxCash ruled the Internet, a time where I believed that Kara was a real girl.

The first Internext I ever went to was small (97) I got a free ticket and Venus was there showing off her new camsystem. She had a huge banner and live cam and I was totally taken, it made me stay in the industry.

When our free site became pay I made 5k in my first month and I sold my store to stay at home.

I designed Websites and charged 5k for it , and GOT IT!

I met Carol Cox and Oasis and Jen and Dave were the hottest thing on the net.

Our first barmeet with Oasis was Internet Talk for almost a year other Amateurs calling us Whores and worse because we actually met our members (now everybody does it)

Interracial Gangbangs was a huge talk and not many sites did it.

When we started wifetrader.com people laughed at us and said it would never work and we are retarted, now big corporation are jumping on it and every horny guy is starting a site where he stars

7 years later I look back and I am a bit burned out. The fun has become a business, billing companies went under and lost us 6 years of rebills. Members are charging back because they can and not because they didn't like what they saw.

Partners demand free this and free that, they want more and more money and everybody wants to see clear huge pictures and preferably tons of videos for 5 bucks per month (we used to charge 29.95 per month when we first started)

Is this industry getting better or worse? If you get into it now you can still make money, all you have to have is the right idea, look at some of the sites who made it big (bangbus, cff et al)

The run is over, now you have to work for your sites, nothing will be given to you, it has become a full time job with employees, advertising managers, webdesigners and coalition where you can donate money for a lawfund.

It's business!

Do I like it better now than in 96 when I read every word on the Ynot Webmaster board? (The only board for Webmasters than) sometimes I do, sometimes I don't

Depends when youre asking me.

I am working harder on keeping my money than making money nowadays and yes we lost a ton when some billing companies went under (Lancelot urgh), its like starting from scratch in a whole new business.

Ok, I am done ranting, going back checking galleries on the tgp's

I hear ya, bro. Times, they is-a-changin'. There are some good things though. Content is a hell of a lot cheaper than it use to be. I cringe whenever I look at the prices today at Ouique and see sets I bought for $70.00 selling for $5.00. Hosting is a lot cheaper too.
