There's nothing wrong with 2checkout.com. Ignore the newbie trying to raise her post count. I use them for a couple of mainstream sites and haven't had a problem yet.

2Checkout are having recuring billing problems.
This has been an ongoing problem for the past 3 months. Sometimes it just bugs up... The strait non-recuring payment is working fine. If you have problems with that one... then your setting might be incorrect. Support on their online form takes normally 3-7days. Just to let you know. |

yeah I had problems paying my host with 2checkout. I tried two cards and both wouldn't go through. I thought it was something with it checking the name or address with the credit card company. and I was taking actually what was on my statement. I emailed they host and they sent me a link to a backup processor.

I didn't respect their policy about adult sites. We had to use it for 2 - 3 weeks when our processor had some problems

2CheckOut sucks! I used them for a while on a non adult site of mine and they cost me about $100US/day worth of sales, I only found out when I switched to another payment processor and my sales went hell up.
They are also having processing problems, just today i used them to purchase something and got the "authorization failed" message, although i have over $50k on my CC... Then it all became clear... I paid via an alternative payment processor and the transaction went through without a problem. |

2checkout is the worst online processor you can imagine.
Its almost like a cheap b-movie type of comedy when you read their message board. You cant believe its really happening, its hilarious and sad. A. their system is like a 1995 beta processor setup. B. the WORST support available and they are rude. <read their message board.. you wont believe what you see> C. A few months ago they had some serious DoS attacks that caused about 2 weeks (!) downtime. No apologies.. no updates for their clients NOTHING. People begging on their board for 'an update or explanation' were basicly told to go fuck themselves by the staff. D. the worst 'scrubbing' ever..its not scrubbing.. it technical failure: ALL their stuff runs on ONE server (processing/stats everything) and they just recently upgraded to a new system. E. they truly are a bunch of fucking idiots. Stay away. |

He was about the only person that worked there 24/7, I guess they found it necessary to keep him employed like that considering the amount of fuckups they had. hehe |

I have been using 2checkout for about 2 years and I have
no major complaints with them in that time. I don't automate the sales with them. When I need to collect a payment, I send clients a customized link. And so, far, no problems with transactions being declined. Although, I don't use them for recurring billings, so I have no experience with that, nor have I ever had an issue that required support, so I have no experience there either. I do know, I have processed 227 single billing transactions over the last 2 years with them, and have always got my money on time without any problems.

Ok, How about suggesting some alternatives for a non adult site?
I went from authorizenet to 2checkout and my sales have dropped 400%, its been 2 months now, and I thought it might have been my imagination. I also have a paypal alternative.. and thought that might cover me, but for some reason people dont seem to want to use paypal, either. ------ http://comusthumbs.com Boost your TGP traffic-get a power script. |

I was with 2checkout for about a year before they changed their rules and kicked out adult sites. They are still processing for a site that copied mine and conveniently ignore my emails asking why I had to leave, yet the copycat to this day still has his account open and accepting transactions.
On the plus side: - They let me process for about 1 1/2 months past their deadline because I was recovering from surgery. - I was paid everything that was owed to me (including holdbacks). - At the time I left their rate was excellent: 0.45c + 5.5% for a third party biller. - They accidentally wired me nearly $3000 extra. I returned it though. |

Here is secret though... When you sign up, to avoid paying the $49 signup fee, tell them you are changing over from 2CheckOut, they will wave the signup fee and give you a free account |

2Checkout are ok for us. Some customers have some problems with it but they seem to have very good fraud prevention, which might just be the problem. Most of the time people hit me up and tell me about it right away anyway.
The only serious problem I've had with them is that they forgot to send a wire one time, it was a pretty serious amount. After a few emails back and forth and a phone call they sent it one month later. But they seem to be getting worse and worse, I guess all processors have their good and bad sides but I think I'll try Paysystems now anyway.
