History of the 'CC Processor' Lists
At least once a week I get icq'ed by some foreign spam list pusher that has the deal of a lifetime. Of course after I tell them to screw themselves they'll either come back and say something lame like "Well it's your loss", or they don't say anything, and just come back with the same bullshit later in the month. Now I've heard from a few people lately that their lists were actually being purchased, all I can say is, who the hell would buy such bullshit lists and think that they'll be seeing a fat ROI or an ROI at all!
Here's how all of this shit really started.. Back in the mid-late 90's there was a list by a credit card processor that was made semi-public, in fact, it was made semi-public BY that actual processor for it's contract spammers to send mail to all of the users to try and get them to buy more services and bullshit items. One day one of the spammers that used to pretend he knew what he was doing got really greedy, and sold that list. Now, the processor was beyond pissed off, because it was their list, and although nothing was signed for confidentiality, it was pretty fucking hard to get into this contract spammer circle. So that guy was kicked out, and probably never got another contract job again, but I'm sure it was worth the $750k-$1.6M or so that it sold for those few times originally. Now you can just imagine what happened to that list, as it got whored out so many times, and after a year or so, was deemed worthless, which also caused a shitload of those people to cancel their current subscriptions to the original sites, and just download porn off napster (it was a while ago). Now we come to these "cc processor" lists that are going around on icq. Well, guess what, they are pretty much all fake, and I say pretty much, only because you may find parts of that original processor list floating around, but I doubt it would do anything for ya. The lists that go around are usually just fake "double-optins", or AOL names that were found in some sexually related chatroom. The moral of the story: We aren't in the mid-late 90's anymore where email is so overhyped as the next best thing for ROI marketing. So please don't fall for these fools with the fake lists. Tests or no tests, you won't be buying what you really think you are. Say no to "I sale you good mils cc processor list"!
