What gives better security? A TOKEN system, or HTTP ref? - GoFuckYourself.com

Hi,

Question, for some additional plugins I can select which security system I want to use.

I can choose between

HTTP ref, so when ref is mydomain, the feed will load, otherwise it won't. Or I can use a TOKEN system...So a unique ID is created for the user, then he has to use that ID, and he can login to the feed.

What system do you prefer, and why?

Token.

There are so many referrer spoofing programs floating around now WITH 1000's of sites included that use referrer authentication.

Token. There are tons of programs out there to fake refers so all the systems that use referrers as the security have tons of non-paying viewers.

Use both at the same time. The referer check is a simple if (refererhahahahayoursite), so it will not generate more server load or something like.
