ever seen a lifeless body?

first time i've ever really look at a body that didnt have life in it. i've been to funerals before and glanced at the body as i walked out but today at my friends funeral i actually looked at what a body without life looked like. it wasn't a scary thing but just an eye opening to say the least. very weird to see all the muscles in a persons face just not work.

today was an interesting day for me to say the least. i spoke at my friends funeral today and cried for a little bit with them as well. then afterwards i drove an hour back to my apartment and jumped on my computer. seems almost pointless to work hard for something that you can't take with you. but life goes on, we have bills and responsibilities...so i'm off 2 build gallaries.

p.s. if you havent told the people you love that you love them, you might want to do it because tomorrow isn't promised.
i apologize for any misspelled words.

yes, several times. no matter how tough or unaffected you might think you are, nothing can replace seeing it up close and in person.

It's always easier just to turn away.

And it does'nt seem sincere to type on a message board: "my condolences" or, "I'm sorry for your loss".

It's all bullshit.

I think I'll just stick with my previous feeling that it's best just to not reply, and let my silence be a statement in and of itself.

So, my silence is explained, and this thread is not empty with a lack of concern.

I used to work in a funeral home and a morgue...I've seen more than my share......

but doesn't make it any easier at all when it's your own family/friends......

As a former firefighter EMT I have not only seen dead bodies but have seen the life slip from them as I tired to save them.

Fucked up shit that still on occasion causes me to wake up in a cold sweat.

I think children are the worst.

seen a few morbid things...

a few years back on my way to school, a guy a few feet from me jumped in front of the subway train...

just a couple weeks ago they pulled a surfer out of the ocean, he was dead, they were giving him CPR for 20 mins... his skin was white and blue....

been at a few funerals too..

pretty awful stuff

Losing a close buddy is some difficult shit, last year a buddy of mine shot himself in the head - i knew he was always goin thru shit, but he finally took his life.. fucked up that I will never see his face ever again.... nothing you can really do about it is just remember him forvever, and try to understand why, you know nap?

When I was a kid, my dad was on the fire/rescue squad and against my mom, he would take me with him to wrecks, fires, etc...
Seen what a pickup with 4 guys in the cab that got hit by a train looked like, a lady that burned up in her home, and a 7 y/o boy walking down the runway from his parents plane that crashed, and he was the only survivor, but badly burned.
The worst thing Ive seen, about 7 years ago, I was with some friends in their apartment, we was drinking, watching tv, having a good time, then we heard a bang, went into Brocks room and he had shot himself in the head with a .45.
Pretty fucking bad and Ill never understand why someone would take their own life.
