Measure actual B/W capacity on a capped *nix server?
hi all... k, odd request i'm sure, but does anyone know how i might be able to *discreetly* measure my actual b/w capacity on a capped fBSD server, something definitive? i'd like to do it in a way as to not call attention to the testing itself, if you know what i mean, want to make sure i'm not being burned in this instance... i have SSH and FTP access to the machine, which is a dedicated colo. thx all..!

Your bandwidth capacity or your bandwidth usage?

set up MRTG and submit a site to ultrapasswords.com

There is a tool in the FreeBSD ports net directory called bing which is supposed to give you an estimate of the bandwidth between two points.
