I believe the jews deserved a homeland and a place of refuge. However, artificially created nation-states almost never hold. It's a tough situation for them.

Having operated a "dozer" I can state that JimmyF is correct. If in fact it was a "bull dozer" it has blind spots if the blade is in a certain positon and one cannot see what is in front of them. It also probably had an enclosed cab and the operator would be unable to hear anyone that may have been yelling.
