I'm throwing a party tonight in SF called Catalyst...it will be at the Gingerbread House in Portrero Hill. Address is 1275 Connecticut @ Ceaser Chavez St.

It'll be a sweet party featuring:

- A showcase of 7 artists
- DJs Rocket Morton, Phonic and Bizzy T.
- Live electronica/soul ensemble T vs. T
- Haute/Nouvelle cuisine by up-and-coming SF chefs including my girlfriend Erin.

All proceeds go to ArtSpan and their art program for inner city youth.

Wish I could go, but I've already committed to an XC ski trip into the Yosemite backcountry this weekend.

Yeah, I saw your post in the TGIF thread. Are you going to be in the valley? My friend and I are skiing in from Badger Pass early saturday morning and snow cave camping somewhere in the vicinity of Mt. Starr King that night. Conditions at Badger look to be ok from their latest report.

As for being hardcore.. on these two or three nighters where weight doesn't matter so much, we'll take bottles of wine, steaks, 2 burner stoves, big roomy tents, camp chairs, gas lamps for heat, people will bring espresso machines etc. In past years we've built snow caves and igloos up there with porches, kitchens, 2 bedrooms.

We're not exactly playing Scott of the Antarctic, hehe.
