So it has been a while since the Vegas show, and for the last two years I have stayed at the Venetian. Sure it is expensive and all that, but after being there the first time and it was top notch, the rooms were really nice and so on, I was looking forward to going back. This year however the rooms were in disrepair and well below the standards I set for $250 a night.

I faxed a letter to the Venetian the week after the show with my concerns and lots of ways to contact me. No response.

Being a fair person, I mailed them a hard copy of the letter a few weeks ago, informing them of the situation and my displeasure at not getting a response. No reply...

So now I am here to trash the Venetian on the boards... After the debacle of the Players Ball, and the quality of their guest service, I hope that we can see a change of venue for the next Vegas show, and if we can't pull that off, lets at least not stay in their rooms, and let them know why. I know I am not the only one on their case...

Boycot the Venetian!

We banned the Venitian after the Jan 2002 show.
The house keepers let people into our room that we didnt know or want to know simply becasue they told her it was their room.

When my wife went to her room to change she was greeted by 4 people in our room.

They were drunk and thought it was their room.
The fucking house keeper didnt chekc ID or send them to the lobby or anything. SHe jsut used her key and let them right in.

We bitched about it and they didnt do shit.
They offered us one free nifht off out 4 nights of stay.
They had an attitude over something that was unexcusable.

I will NEVER stay there ever again.

Yeah Treasure Island is good to stay at if you want to be near by.

If you need something nicer go to their sister hotel The Beligio.

What if we sent our kid up to the room early and the fuckign house keeper let in some Child molestor into the room simply becasued he asked?

She replied, well thats unlikely and this doesnt ever happen.

I mean fuck! What would it take to get them to apoligize? Did my wife need to get robbed, or worse for them to apolige for letting 4 guys into our room when we were out for the day?

I was kinda shocked when I asked the way to the parking garage from the front desk staff and was given directions.

I took them and wound up in the middle of some kind of construction areas, all down long walkways then into another bank of elevators with the work crew. (they were VERY helpful, more than the desk staff) Then I found the car....

Day 2, we figured out the walkway into the 2nd floor and that was at least cooler than the first way into it.

Looking back, I was amazed that the frotn desk staff was sending people down what I would assume would be a construction entrace, workers entrance, not where you would send guests. Thank God the construction crew was there, otherwise, i'd still be walking around probably.

It would be nice if the convention could even rotate to other cities than just Vegas. The streets arent that clean, We walked out of the Venetian mid afternoon one day and were pitched to buy time shares, show tix, everything. By the 2nd block I was going mental almost, the overly agressive pitchmen really need to chill out and leave people the fuck alone, totally pissed us off. Everything was a hustle, it wears on your nerves after the first 30 minutes.

Last time I will stay there, maybe the bellagio next time if I had to hit the show in Vegas

Why stay there? Its known to be overpriced and the service is shit...

I get comped at Aladdin, Caesars, and Harrahs.

For a show, it was still worth it to stay 5 days at one of those 3, and walk my ass to the show, than stay at the venetian, not like the fucking convention center was even close to the elevators and such..

Just gamble a bit at those 3 places, stay at one table for a while, and maybe they'll comp ya, and take care of your escortly needs as well. =P

I had no complaints about Harrah's...It wasn't luxurious but they didn't advertise it as such. I do know that next year I'll be staying at Treasure Island. It's the closest hotel to the Venetian that's decent...

The suites at the Venetian didn't look like they were worth all that money that they were charging...all of the money you spend goes into all of that marble and other shit in the lobby.

Show, no show, they always fuck stuff up.

Aladdin is great, they have a fantastic staff and really are nice to their clientele.

Mandalay Bay... ok I dunno why they sent me free Yanni tickets in the mail today but I still like them ;)

The Four Seasons on top of Mandalay is luxury without feeling like a casino at all - you check in on the other side of the building, you only enter the noise when you want thru a locked door that non Four Seasons people cannot get thru...

Bellagio is nice, they have the best restaurants in town but the crowd there is a mix of really odd Eurotrash and a bunch of old people...

The housekeepers came into our room and dropped my makeup all over the place and broke it. Being I was there for photo shoots.....I needed my makeup......

THey didnt say sorry or anything.......

I wont mention the dirty suite.....the broken shower door...mold on the walls in bathroom.....or the extremly rude security guards....

I always stay at Harrahs. I live near Atlantic city and their hotel is one of newest and nicest. As far as Las Vegas, it's a city block walk from the Venetian and at $50 a night you can't beat it.

I think the problem with the Venetian is the way the porno people act. Not just the Internet people.

Eva and I were there a few years ago and got talking to a barman, he did not know the business we in, who warned us about "All those porn people staying in the hotel" he was not very pleased with us. We saw lots of "Crazy/unacceptable" behaviour.

But I know Boneprone and he did not deserve that treatment.

However if they want to take our money they should treat us properly.

I stayed at Harrah's this year and was rather happy with it. Would rather blow the money I saved on buying food or gifts anyway.

2 bitches about Vegas:
1) The bathrooms almost never have ventillation. If you have to use the bathroom after someone else you have to hope they didn't have beans that day.

2) Those damn idiots they hire to hand out the escort flyers. They always stick them in the narrowest spot of the sidewalk and even if they see you ignore the first 5 of them the sixth will stick the shit in your face anyway. I've seen them try to give the things to 90 year old men walking with their wives. I've seen them offer the shit to men walking by with their wife and kids. Why has the city not banned them? I know they have to get complaints about it all the time. I am sure someone is getting some $ for ignoring it.
Every now and then I want to take one of the flyers and rip it up in front of them.. of course they wouldn't care because they get paid to give the damn things away.
I REALLY hate the way they roll the booklets up and smack them in their hand to try to draw attention. See if all up and down the strip. Drives me nuts. Fuck Vegas!
