My guess is that Wicked Pictures has been his client for years and they did a separate deal with manwin for their online properties. They (Wicked Pictures) pay Nate to take down their content. Simple as that is my guess. We'll see.

Thanks but I will just use greenbacks from sales. It is just a matter of being able to look at anything that is thrown at you in business and figuring out how to make money from it. It is far more productive to figure out how to make money from a situation, no matter how bad it is, than to complain about it only to have nothing change.

Most of us (myself included) hate that tubes need to be policed -- it is an extra cost -- but its reality so might as well make what you can back.

If you have unique content and toss a freebie out there you will get and retain sales. It is all about making sure it is not ALL out there to be had. You toss a tube a full length here and there as it will get way more eyeballs with the longer length. You just choose certain videos and then share to all of the big tubes so they all have the same thing. You are out one update but if you are doing two exclusive scenes a week what do you really lose?

There is a lesson in there but if you want to stick to calling me a brown noser that is fine, too.

By the sounds of it not a penny. The tubes aren't going anywhere no matter how many threads are created. Their content won't stop being uploaded no matter how many threads are created. If Hush Money isn't already doing it though they could make a lot of money from the tubes that aren't going anywhere. So much money that they could have a team of full time employees dedicated just to that.

Edit: as I mentioned, working with tubes doesn't mean your content will not show up there. You still have to police for it. You need to have a plan for dealing with it.

Many of the DMCA services/companies go around uploading your content to tubes/torrents get work from you to take them down as well TRUE STORY!

Why have I not sent a SINGLE DMCA notice for DP in over 6 months? Why is the date of my last DP DMCA notice nearly the exact same day the buyout was announced. Notice in that report how Eric @ RYC dropped them even before I did, and my relationship with DP was severed soon after. If Fabian was somehow telling me what to do, why do the stats tell the EXACT opposite story?

I have been reading this press release over and over and I have no clue were it even indicates there is a relation between ACIUF and TDP. Even less clues were it would indicate TDP has anything to do with Manwin.

And about being proud on taking money from Manwin: we are happy to take money as long as is it for the support of fighting piracy. Damn, I would even take Oron's money to fight them. And if you want a clue about what we are doing, just pay some attention and try to do it with an open mind.

As far as being "open minded", there is no amount of "open minded"-ness that would make me want to work with Fabian/Manwin in any capacity, and severely less "open minded"-ness that would put out a Press Release announcing it even if I did. I think our situations are different and you're well entitled to do what you think is the best for you and your business. I just think it's probably not a good idea to become financially beholden to the same company owning the sites you are trying to clean up. Again I would point to Degban - sends a lot of notices to Google - never for any Manwin-owned sites. I'm guessing the fact that Manwin is their biggest customer dictates that. I don't want to not be able to do the best job for my clients because another client can call the shots. Just my :2 cents:

Hey Nate. Full disclosure, we do a small amount of tube submissions. That was one of the FEW articles I've read in the AVN print in years. You made a lot of great points. The KW one (which I already had thought) - if you aren't careful YOU WILL BURY YOU OWN SITE in Google.

Yeah I don't knock people for tube submissions, ideally that's the way tube should work but people should realize that titling your tube submissions after your official sites will kill the SEO for those sites. I try to keep my AVN column a good mix between helpful information and the occasional rant.

As you might know, I don't see sending DMCA's as a solution. That is why I wanted to outsource it. Main reason I want these DMCA's sent is because it helps us dealing with hosting companies and billing processors.

About Manwin, Fabian only brought up immunity to secure me he wasn't looking for that. So when we really start to work on some tubes his will be amongst them. What Degban does or doesn't is of no interest to me.
