Let me 1st start off by saying I have had an ars account for almost a year.. and havent sent them traffic for almost 6 months.. I think I might have them on one of my 1st paysites 404 page or something. see below:

She told you why she put your account on hold, but you never told her why your conversions were so low, or why the sale did not have any referring URL. We don't treat our webmasters like shit. As a matter of fact we go above and beyond for our webmasters. But when something doesn't look right, we have to find out why. Communication is the key, how about giving it a try?

actually thats not even the point. the point is... I have been an affiliate for a long time and sent many many more sales in the past. I can see putting me on hold if i was 1:1 if i was a new affilliate that never sent traffic before and just started with them. Im not even mad about this. I think its funny as shit a company that large makes the choices they do. No investigation was done other than happymeal girl clicking a few links and basing her decission off of that. No look into my past performance with them to see any trends on my account.. something that I would think would me make a better sound decission on an account.. other than a ratio and referer.

My account was frozen once 3 days after I opened it up. No traffic was ever sent. I never received a response to my emails so I have no idea what I did wrong. This was a year ago, things may have changed since then.

What exactly is the ARS red flag policy?

What do other sponsors do for "red flags" and suspicious accounts?

I usually talk to the person in question, see what they think is going on, then talk with one of their other sponsors to see if they have had any fraud problems or other suspicious activities. Am I the only one who does this?

Matt - if we're talking about 1 hit - 1 sale then you really are talking out your ass and like many so called 'legitimate' businesses would rather throw around bullshit accusations (screwing people in the process be it $35 or $3.5k it's still screwing people) and never admit to fuckups than give good customer service. More hits/sales than that though is a different matter. Pimpdog seems to think just the one sale so this whole thing really is a joke and shows incompetence on ARS's part. To deny it just makes you look even more silly with each post.

If 1 hit 1 sale over a prolonged period he should never have been flagged and never have needed to reply in the first place.

ARS probably sends out a couple million dollars a month to webmasters...I think if you did that, you would want to make sure you were paying for something useful. I would think the smartest thing to do to keep your reputation as a non-cheater in the industry and to actually get the $35 would be to call ARS and be firm about how you didn't fake the signup and get them to re-open your account. They are good people and always respond quickly. I think their customer service is unmatched.

Maybe I'm just a cheerleader for them cause I'm having a huge week there

Since I stopped sending traffic to top bucks I still get sales now and again, and more than once I've seen 1:1 and even 2:2 one time. Didn't seem to hit their "fraud alerts", and I get little checks in the mail once in a while.

Guys from ARS, wouldn't it be easier to shave every signup instead of just half of them? That way you wouldn't have problems like this. Think about it.

More hits/sales than that though is a different matter. Pimpdog seems to think just the one sale so this whole thing really is a joke and shows incompetence on ARS's part. To deny it just makes you look even more silly with each post. If 1 hit 1 sale over a prolonged period he should never have been flagged and never have needed to reply in the first place.

I would think the smartest thing to do to keep your reputation as a non-cheater in the industry and to actually get the $35 would be to call ARS and be firm about how you didn't fake the signup and get them to re-open your account. They are good people and always respond quickly. I think their customer service is unmatched. Maybe I'm just a cheerleader for them cause I'm having a huge week there

We already had the same email from ARS and it was fixed within 24 hrs without any problem. (we also send 'em about 100 clicks per day from 2 years ago) Do you cry at Visa or processors because they keep a 10% reserve and charge huge fees because this industry is full of bastards? No... so don't cry about ARS if they are checking if everything is 100% legit. Bitch.
