Just by looking at the language used and the attitude of two program owners in this thread it pretty much clear which program will continue to prosper and which will go down before it really started, unless the guy will change his manners.

They do fine for me. Marc De goes out of way for webmasters. Karen has ordered in the last couple months for me: Two Top of the line pioneer recievers (vsx-49txi; vsx-47tx), two dvd players, speakers, a subwoofer, a top notch poker table, expo tickets for vegas, stuff off of amazon.com to give away at christmas, and some misc electronics crap - all with ARS reward points.

ARS was one of the first companies that ever paid me. I got $35 for "average girls" (which I wasn't promoting -- it was an exit sale). I thought - gee - if I can get $35 for average girls - what could I do with sexy girls. I get paid on monday for what I sold two days before hand.
God damn those stats make me horny.

We simply wanted to open a dialogue with you to get more information as to how you do business with us and yes the deciding factor in that was a sign up off a single hit with no referring URL. That doesn't mean we didn't want to do business with you...

Accept my apologies that you were insulted, that was NOT the intention.
Marc,

You are a bigger man than me.. and I truley respect you more for saying that. I will be the 1st to admit I jump the gun sometimes, But i really did feel strongly about this issue. Appology is accepted, and taken to heart. really. I do appreciate your attention to this, and am glad it didnt turn into a big mess. ARS and I are cool no doubt. Thats all I was looking for man.

Hey everyone. MarcDe and I were talking about this as it concerned both of us and has prompted a few changes in the way we handle the "on-hold" notice.

The last thing we want to do is make you feel like you cheated us and your not welcome, when in fact you may not have done anything wrong. Every situation is different and in some cases we are frauded and some cases, we are not. The point is, we want to make it less intrusive if you do have to receive a notice from us regarding an issue with your account. Something that just doesn't say "your an ass and your not welcome here anymore"....not that it said that, but when you logged in and the message said simply "login error" and you had no access to your account....well, it would be better if there was our 800# and some basic info there.

Also, please keep in mind that you can call any of the support staff here (almost 24 hours/day :-) if you have questions.

pimpdog, even if you don't want to come back to ARS, thanks for prompting us to make a simple change....a change that hopefully none of you will ever have to see....

He is quite a guy isn't he. I was surprised he was willing to look into my problem as well with ARS' employees and I do commend Marc for listening to his webmasters, even when his staff might not at times. I hope my problem gets resolved soon enough, it's been some time now... Thanks again Marc for your help.

John and Marc...wouldn't it offend even LESS webmasters if you called or e-mailed them if you had a concern instead of even placing their account on any kind of hold? Maybe the only hold you need is to not send out a paycheck until the issue is resolved, but let them have full access to their account, and speak with them about it. If you can't reach them within a week, maybe THEN put it on hold.

As someone who sends ARS 150+ signups a month, I think I would be offended to have my account put on hold before even getting a phone call or ICQ message.

thats how it should have been handled before. i've seen people a year ago who were pissed about the holds and thinking they were termed or about to be.

I agree! I posted to GFY a few days ago asking who I should contact at ARS to resolve an issue with one of their reps and was most impressed by they way Marc promptly posted a reply suggesting that I should e-mail mmonroe and also provided contact details for his sister Becky the CEO.

Unfortunately mmonroe has neglected to reply to my e-mail which was sent four days ago. So I guess I'll have to contact Becky which seems a tad like overkill. But hey the rep refuses to discuss this issue and mmonroe hasn't answer my e-mail, so what choice do I have?

The fact is, I don't even require any action from ARS as I won't be doing business with you guys again. I simply hoped that someone in a position of authority at ARS would do me the courtesy of acknowledging that they've received my complaints. Marc I think that your attitude is great! But the lack of response I've received from your staff is nothing short of pathetic!

FYI, the e-mail sent to mmonroe had the subject, "What's Matthew's problem?" and came from adam att carnalia.com. If I have not received a reply from mmonroe within 24-hours I will e-mail Becky, if she does not reply I will e-mail you (ie thus following the advice from your recent GFY reply).

The whole basis of my complaint is that one of your reps willfully wasted half-a-day of my time and then refused to even discuss the issue with me. So the irony of wasting still more of my valuable time with fruitless attempts to raise the issue with senior management is not lost on me!

I suspect that fewer people would feel the need to post their grievances publicly on a BSS if your staff were as helpful and diplomatic as you are Marc. You will note that I have not taken the specifics of my grievences public, but I've gotta say that the vengeful side of me would love to

Groove - please forward all correspondences you have had with the issue at hand and the email that you have sent Matt so I may review. I'm not posting this to publicly discipline my management team or support team in Las Vegas but not adhearing to the needs of our all important webmasters is NOT something I take likely. In fact, support is one of (if not the) biggest focuses at ARS. The last words I want to hear from a webmaster is I will not do business with ARS again because of the manner I was treated by one of the staff (assuming that the webmaster was in the right and was 'mistreated').

I thank you for the compliments on my demeanor, however, that doesn't go far when my staff doesn't extend the same courtesies.

WiredGuy - to my knowledge we took care of your request, if that is not the case, please hit me up on ICQ. I know my staff reviewed it and did agree with you!

Groove,

Please forward me all the email correspondence between you and the support staff here at ARS. From what I see in the email record here, you were asking for free 30 days passes to every site at Global Intermedia. You were given 14 day passes and then 3 day passes after that. You needed to have these passes so you could write reviews....please send me these too.

We will go out of way to help webmasters all day long and in this case it looks like MattB and MattM responded to you immediately...

Calling the entire staff here at ARS "pathetic" is unreasonable. I have never met anyone like BeckyDe, MarcDe and MattM who are willing to "bend over backwards" for webmasters time and again. Get in touch with me, MattM, MarcDe or BeckyDe....whoever you want, we will go over whatever your request is and take it from there.

Thanks Groove.

JohnV, I have sent copies of of the relevant correspondence to Marc De as requested. I assume that he will forward copies to you if he thinks that is appropriate. I am unable to send you copies directly as I do not know your e-mail address.

As for your remarks above:

WRONG! I requested a 30-day pass but was provided a three-day pass. When three-days proved an inadequate amount of time to assess a network of 80-odd sites and research/write nine web site reviews (ie maybe 15-hours work) I requested a one-week pass for six specific sites and said that a three-day pass would suffice if necessary.

Quote:

Copies of the reviews were sent to MattB on 28 January!

Quote:

I have NOT received any e-mails whatsoever from MattM!

As for MattB, he refused to allow me to complete my reviews, he refused to discuss the issue with me and he ignored my request that he provide me with a name and phone number for someone in a position of authority so that I could discuss the issue.

Quote:
Calling the entire staff here at ARS "pathetic" is unreasonable.
Putting words in my mouth is "unreasonable"!

I did NOT call the entire staff at ARS pathetic!

I said:

Quote:

...the lack of response I've received from your staff is nothing short of pathetic!
The criticism was directed at MattB and mmonroe (who I assume is MattM?), they were the ARS staff members who failed to respond adequately to my e-mails. The only other ARS person I've commented on is Marc D and I praised him! I have not communicated with anyone else from ARS, so I could hardly be expecting a response from them!

Quote:

You can claim whatever you like about ARS staff, but I will judge ARS by its actions and so far my experiences (with the exception of Marc De's response) have been profoundly negative. Initially my only contact with ARS was via MattB, when I found myself unable to obtain any cooperation or meaningful dialogue, I posted to GFY asking if anyone knew who I should contact at ARS. Marc De (who's behavior to-date I can not fault) replied suggesting that I e-mail MattM, but five days later I'm still waiting for a reply! And you wonder why I'm critical?

JohnV, if you want to continue this discussion on GFY that's fine with me because I know that ARS will come off the worse! But perhaps it would be more professional for you to read the relevant documents a bit more carefully, then communicate with me privately? I only posted to this thread because I have been unable to obtain any meaningful dialogue with ARS via e-mail. Marc responded to my post promptly and diplomatically, so I do not understand why you needed to chime in with your untruths and distortions!

Maybe if Pimpdog had saved everyone some time and called ARS instead of bitching and trying to badname ARS he could get his 35$ and buy his happymeals.

Wow, what an insult an email must be, especially if it tells you that you have to make a phone call to recieve your 35$ check.

Tough.
