A girl named Avery over at ARS placed my account on hold after I made 14k /month with them. This was back in June-July

I won't forget that whore, they took my money and didn't pay for 2 weeks=7k for all the AOL signups.

Be careful when you make more $$ with them, they will fuck you and cancel your account.

I think you should review your policies on these holds, i've seen a few people on the ars boards get extremely pissed off about those emails.
People would complain about ARS no matter what. ARS seems to have more unhappy, bitching, complaining webmasters, but only because they attract more webmasters in the first place.

I have several accounts with them So does almost every major sponsor.

They do fine for me. Marc De goes out of way for webmasters. Karen has ordered in the last couple months for me: Two Top of the line pioneer recievers (vsx-49txi; vsx-47tx), two dvd players, speakers, a subwoofer, a top notch poker table, expo tickets for vegas, stuff off of amazon.com to give away at christmas, and some misc electronics crap - all with ARS reward points.

ARS was one of the first companies that ever paid me. I got $35 for "average girls" (which I wasn't promoting -- it was an exit sale). I thought - gee - if I can get $35 for average girls - what could I do with sexy girls. I get paid on monday for what I sold two days before hand.

That implies signups coming from AOL IP's. Aol only has a few hundred at the most but 25 million people using them. In other words ARS was going to take 25 million people out of his potential customers.

I have mostly aol IP's signing up to my sponsor. What are you implying? That if this is the case they must spam? Bullshit. I have a unique way of getting traffic and around 90% of it is from aol users. Fuck any company that suspends your account because your ratio is too good. I keep 1:30 or less conversions all the time. Many times I get no referring url. Many times a page I had up a year ago gets 1 or 2 signups in a week and therefore a 1:1 or 2:2 ratio because the page doesn't even exist.

Thanks for the heads up Pimpdog. I will never do business with ARS. People fucking with my money is something I don't take lightly. I shouldn't be calling them to explain myself when I haven't done anything. If anything they should contact me BEFORE they take any action.

IMO ARS has categories of affiliates. I do know webmasters making a bank with ARS having way lower quality of traffic than me, while others even if they redirect the whole overture won't get a single sale. They do not need my business, neither do I. End of story.

Maybe it's because ARS pays weekly on time, never missed or bounced a check and some dumbasses make nice 5 figures with them monthly... just a thought though...

Im not looking to get into an argument with you, so dont take this as a jab at you.. But that is expected of any sponsor regardless.

Of course, it is expected. We have several accounts with ARS and never had a single problem with them... that's all. And to be honest, I don't mind being called a dumbass for making good money with a program for many years now...

My StatsRemote just made a nice sound for two more ARS sales

Ummm, until the first problem you have with a sponsor you can always say you have never had a problem. Could be 2 days or 2 years later.

I have never experienced any problems with ARS... If I have a question, they respond very quickly via e-mail or on their board. Matt M is one of the nicest people I've ever talked to in the adult biz, and the rest of the staff aint so bad either

If you don't like a sponsor or if it doesn't convert well, just promote another one. If you think they shave, just do a few test SUs. Simple as that. In the nine months I've been with them I've never even once saw anyone post about a test SU that didn't go through.

Yo Trey..

don't y'all do any fraud checks or have any TOS over at e_cash?

I'm sure it was all just a normal form e-mail... sent to every webmaster who comes up on their fraud script... our accounting department does the same thing... ARS is a great reputable company... and a large one at that...

I'm sure that nothing personal or evil was meant by that e-mail.. in fact it asks for a rebutal to tell your side... hell... I think its mighty noble to even contact the webmaster vs just not paying them... eh???

anyway peace bro...

We definitely have different definitions of noble.

And yes, we do check for fraud. But we investigate before we piss off our affiliates by insinuating that they're trying to rip us off.

I love ARS. I get last weeks sales which end on a Sunday night direct deposited into my checking account and ready to spend on Tuesday morning.

No waiting 2-6 weeks for a check.

Noone else does this.

If I was an affiliate of sic cash for over a year and sent you alot of signups and proved to not be fraud in the past.. would you investigate my account before putting it on hold or send me a letter insulting me.. and yes, a sponsor saying i may be sending fraudulent signups is insulting.

you dont do that to someone that has been an affiliate for a long time. period.

I run my own program for christsakes.. You dont treat another sponsor like that unless you have proof. do you? my email address was epic cash.com.. there are many ways to investigate who I am, if the sale was infact fraud or not.. you DONT put an account on hold cause you dont like the ratio do you? or if a referer shows up as 'none' do you?

i get sales all day from no referer.. what do I do? I call epoch if I feel its necessary. I look at the history of the affiliate with me. I look at where he is from, what email address he used to signup with etc etc... you do alot of things to make 100% sure you arent going to kill an account for no real reason.

p{mpd0g - I don't know what happened in your case specifically, but I can tell you this, just because an account is put on hold does NOT mean it is terminated and it does NOT mean we are calling you a 'thief'. What it means is we have a problem with your account that needs attention. In your case it appears that a 'mysterious' sign up needed some attention. You could have easily responded with ICQ, email, or phone to notify us of what happened.

My assumption is you got emotional assuming we were going to 'steal' $35 from you and call you a cheater in the process. Again, that is not the case. If its legitimate, its legitimate. We do NOT make a practice of pissing off productive webmasters who actively participate in the program (as if I had to point this out).

There will be opinions made of ARS; some good, some bad. If it seems as though there are a lot of people who don't like us perhaps that is because we have one of the largest active webmaster bases in the industry to draw from. We do business with 1000's of webmasters sending them money EVERY week. We have an active message board, a toll free phone number, and tons of email addresses PUBLISHED EVERYWHERE on our website. We open our offices to visits from people we do business with. We are straight up 100% and look to do business with EVERY legitimate member of this industry. Our door is open to call and talk to us anytime and we are VERY easy to get along with... If you feel you have been wronged its always ok to email us or call us, we don't want any hard feelings with anyone.

Thanks Greg and everyone else who knows that ARS tries to treat all their webmasters with the utmost of respect.

And yes, we do check for fraud. But we investigate before we piss off our affiliates by insinuating that they're trying to rip us off.
All anyone has to do is call us if there is a problem. We do not try to piss anyone off and I know we can't make everyone happy, but hearing that we go out of our way to cause problems on your end is rediculous. We have an 800# so it won't cost you a penny.....call anyone here if you have a concern.

If you feel you have been wronged its always ok to email us or call us, we don't want any hard feelings with anyone.
please tell me what exactly is your policy on placing an account on hold? cause it might need to be revised.

I did responde to the 1st email from your girl over there.. and she sent this back to me:

The low conversion of 1:1 is what flagged your account in our system.
After looking into this, there is no referring URL to the sale that was
placed, which is another red flag. This is the reason behind your
account being placed on hold.

that to me is insulting. If your policy is to suspend an account and then investigate it, then thats your rules and your business.. I wont be apart of it. How hard would it be to let the account remain open especially for a webmaster for over a year with you guys.. and see whats going.. hell, you could have called me too, or wrote me 1st, or icq'd me aswell.

If my account was on hold, i cant login to stats to see whats going on now can i? So how am i suppose to explain myself?

uh dude what if they "did an investigation" and their investigation came to the conclusion that you frauded them? Then they terminated your account without EMAILING YOU or any type of notification?...wouldn't you still be crying?... This is the most logical way when you look at it,your pride isn't always in jeopardy bro. They emailed you,it's not like they announced on messageboards you're a cheater...chill the fuck out

I guess if you want to get unbanned you have to post something like, "HEY! I was just kidding! Look at me! I'm a whacky DJ!"

Seems to work for other people...

the account was put on hold, what's the big deal? How is that an insult? I think they put me on hold once but it was straighted out in 2 emails... An insult would be coming to a board and calling you a fraud or "you suck"

when an account is placed on hold, you cant login.. so how am i suppose to give any type of justification of why it was placed on hold in the 1st place?
2nd.. I wouldnt put an affiliates account on hold that was promoting me for over 1 yr without a good reason.

whatever. whats done is done. There will be no agreement on
this issue at this point.

I may have over reacted, but its still insulting to insinuate that you are sending fraudulent signups to a webmaster of a long time.. especially without ANY proof other than 1:1 and no referrer. If you cant see that, then oh well.

pimpdog - if we just ASSUMED you defrauded us we would terminate your account, tell you that you defrauded our program and that would be the end of it.

I think we do disagree on some points to our policy (which is currently under review) HOWEVER, I don't want you to have hard feelings over something we surely have no hard feelings over. We simply wanted to open a dialogue with you to get more information as to how you do business with us and yes the deciding factor in that was a sign up off a single hit with no referring URL. That doesn't mean we didn't want to do business with you...

Accept my apologies that you were insulted, that was NOT the intention.
