I so don't want to pull the plug mentally as this place means something to me, but it really is starting to feel that way?

granted no server crashes anymore but now a colour template where one has to use notepad to write a post and then switch to coloured text to finalize edits in the compose box? I think I'm one of the only ones here who liked the redesign once they got rid of all the bright yellow...I spend a lot of my time online dealing with text in little boxes and the flat, broad, grey/off-black colour scheme was restful to my eyes. it matches my closet. then abruptly a switch to a barely functional UX

gfy means a lot to me as I still make money here every day from partnerships and collaborations I've made along the way. including two new ones since the redesign

when I first joined here I was about a year or two into adult and had just left the network/big box cam sites as I decided I could do better doing my own thing. knew no one, knew nothing. was using w3schools for html and css on my original (standing strong) site and still it looked like ish. did and still do everything except for a couple of hires along the way on my own, but nomanisan is my fav island and everything I've done in adult independently got started here. often through (esp at the beginning) mutually beneficial collabs with others

looking back, the amount of knowledge I gained here just from reading and actually engaging with people. let alone the money that has made me (along with those with whom I've interacted) along the way to this day. not flash in the pan, actual business

sure, there are private groups and tg channels but nothing like an open space for biz with light moderation on the 'fuck around' spirit that gfy provides. I dunno, I entered adult and joined gfy at a time when the apparent glory days were over and the consolidation of the biz was well under way. just look at the links in threads bumped by spam bots, and notice how many of the paysites still live are owned by a handful of networks. so many of the rest are gone

so no wonder activity is lower. that's just called the consolidation of traditional 'porn'. tbh not sure why anyone would want to spend their day online posting laughing emojis and popcorn pics, the stuff that kept threads going for days
