I’m not defending DonnyLong, he’s clearly busy enough doing that himself.

However, at some point, when someone is no longer active in the adult industry and no longer posting on GFY, starting a brand-new thread just to post an update on them crosses the line into targeted harassment, bordering on cyberstalking and cyberbullying.

If he is no longer putting himself out there on this board or within the industry community, we should just let him be. Let him quietly chase his own tail with whatever he’s up to these days.

I'm reporting an update on someone who was in the adult industry. Who was not only a performer but someone who did devastating things to thousands of performers. If you aren't interested in what he or anyone else is doing, you don't have to read my updates.

My point wasn't about the individual's past actions, which are not in dispute. My point was about the ethics of tracking and publicizing the ongoing demise of someone who left the industry years ago.

There is a distinct line between investigative journalism and a prolonged public grievance. I am simply suggesting that continuing to cross that line lowers the standard of discussion here.

My dear friend Nalem - I do understand your point of view yet if I may offer mine - updates like this do serve a purpose as a deterrent as well. Far to often individuals believe they can get away with crimes simply because its the adult industry and who's watching. To those who may be considering heading down the path as Long did - it serves as a reminder that the law is the law and don't assume your vaccinated against it. In addition to others who may have been banned from the industry but still try to return - an occasional thread brings awareness so that others wont get caught in the trap and get ripped off.

How often at trade show parties or conversations as well do we at times discuss previous industry people asking, "whatever happened to???" -Kelli is a sweatheart that I've known for years and if anyone is going to be fair and balanced in giving an opinion its her.
