Are adult platforms actually using AI video yet, or still just testing?

Hi everyone,

For people running adult platforms, creator products, or AI companion apps, are you already testing AI video generation or real-time AI video calls?

I’m working with Minuit API, and we provide AI video generation and video call APIs, but I’m mostly trying to understand what the market really needs.

Is the main problem price, quality, speed, API stability, or user demand?

We are also considering cheaper 480p testing options before customers move to 720p or 1080p production quality.

Would love to hear what platform owners actually care about. Happy to share a free test code or API docs privately if anyone wants to try it.

I personally do not think AI videos are there yet and would hold off until they can be longer and more consistent. Unless you are creating 1+ minute videos with the quality that Grok produces, its not worth having a bunch of random 6 second combined videos.

AI video is useful now for testing ideas, promos, short loops, and pre-production, but I would not build a serious adult platform on hype alone. The business question is cost, consistency, rights, and conversion. Contact us if you want to compare notes.

I agree with you. Currently, the longest clips most video models can generate are around 15–16 seconds, so longer videos need to be created by stitching these shorter clips together.

However, there are now some very mature AI directing workflows that can manage the storyline, shot planning, and visual consistency. We’re currently producing a short-form series with episodes of around 3–4 minutes, and the full series will have approximately 10–20 episodes.

I think most are still testing.

Production use needs repeatable characters, rights language, review workflow, cost control, and metadata. A nice one-off clip is easy; a reliable content pipeline is the hard part.

I will chime in here "ID V2V" was launched last week, sure you need a high-end GPU as the model take you 75GB of VRAM, but that looks like the tool where been waiting for. Even if it is quantized, I expect you will still need a 32GB of VRAM. maybe if the super 50 series is launch in January, there some hope of running these locally.

ID V2V is based on WAN 2.5, I saw some demos and replace background, clothing and lighting in you videos will be a game changer for many people. Remember this is more of an editors tool than a creators app.

I think most serious operators are still testing AI video around the edges: promos, short loops, concept tests, localization, and fixing old material.

The main blocker is not one cool clip. It is repeatability, rights, cost per accepted output, and whether the result converts.
