The links he sent me, are apparently traffic stats for slytube.com

The whole conversation sounded very much like a scam attempt to me. At best, an offer to buy traffic from slytube.com , you69.com. The whole conversation was along the lines of: "Are you finally done asking questions, now please buy something".

I wouldn't even do business with slytube.com for free, based on the views per video, it would take about 100 Video Uploads, to generate 1 membership sign up

I'd estimate the % of SEO-Guys on gfy.com who are scams, is close to 100%.

The guys who really now about SEO, are working for known tube sites like youporn, xhamster.

Here is an interesting question: Every time I offer an SEO Expert a 50/50 Revenue Split on the amount of revenue that they generate, they're not interested.

I can prove my content is selling, but I have never seen proof that Traffic from an SEO Guy is Converting.

Why is it that redtube.com , xhamster.com , youporn.com, and so on are all offering a % of the revenue generated, but to all the SEO-Experts on gfy.com such an offer is completely unacceptable?

Either the SEO-Experts are a lot of better than the big tube sites, or they are scams.

The majority of self proclaimed SEO guru's out there are full of shit.

I can say this though, I turn down 50/50 rev splits because I have a business to run and bills to pay, for the amount of people that offer me a 50/50 rev split, it would take a while to get paid and to have 10 jv's going, thats just a headache. Whose to say your not going to spend 3 months ranking a site out just to not be paid? SEO takes time and depending on the niche and keywords, could take longer or less but most of the time longer.

The right way to go about it is to have a deposit put down, then depending on the duration of the service, work out a monthly payment upon a monthly report until the job is paid up.

Watch out for guarantees as well, there are no guarantees in SEO and any real seo or firm will tell you that first.

Just my 2 cents.

I pray to god that my body may walk into this soul one day. He will not be able to touch any key, mouse or whatever anymore in his entire sad life. The poor little guy bragged about doing SEO for LiveJasmin and many other very reputable companies, but at the same time basically begged me to fund him some money so he could buy traffic for his Slytube site. And if someone could use it, he's probably from Bulgaria - mastered the language quite well but not sure. Unfortunately none of the people I know around there - and the area he claimed to be in - never heard from him, probably the best for him.

I agree with you buddy. If there are a lot of shit SEO companies and professionals active, the reason behind it is a lot of fools dreaming to get top rankings for a million dollar keyword by spending a few hundred dollars. Be realistic guys.

Hey guys, thanks all for your informative and interesting responses to my post...

My best advice to anyone looking for SEO help is this:

- Learn from the source itself! - learn from google, there are plenty of videos on youtube from google staff telling you exactly what to do. and dont forget to learn what NOT to do.

basically learn yourself what is acceptable and wanted by google and what is considered bad SEO practices.

After being hit by panda and penguin along time ago, loosing my SE traffic, it took me 6 months of complete SEO done the proper way.
And im proud to say we are back in googles good graces.

Mike Freud is definitely strange. He hired me to write SEO descriptions for SlyTube and some social media. The pay was .25 cents a video (all of which was very low quality). I continually asked him for the social media credentials so I could do that too, but he never gave them to me. He wanted me to do 25 videos a day so 25 x .25= about 6.25. Which would take a good amount of time. He was always extremely rude and curt on the phone. I stopped working for him after seeing how messily his mech bunny tube site was set up and how rude he was to me. I never collected the approximately $12 he owed me, it didn't seem worth talking to him anymore. His email is: [email protected]. His phone number is defunct. He asked for me "sell ads" without any real info on the task before switching it to writing descriptions. I don't know anything else about him, except that he was very strange and antisocial and had no idea about SEO, or anything.

Couldn't agree more. Organic traffic is achieved over time, and even the best SEO-sensitive text cannot achieve this overnight as most employers would expect. Problem is -writers promise a lot more than they can deliver just to bag the gig. Avoid writers who promise instant results, because it is simply NOT practical to deliver.
