hi i found this forum on my sons computer - i need some advice so maybe you can help me out - i don't know what to do.

my son is 18 years old - even though he graduated from high school he still lives at home - in the basement, in fact.

him living at home really isn't the problem - we get along - but i'm concerned about his internet usage - he is on his computer every waking hour - and sometimes i don't know if he even sleeps.

he doesn't work but says he makes money by posting on forums such as this one - i don't know if he's telling the truth - can that be done? making money posting?

anyway - i don't think it's healthy for him to be sitting in the dark all the time in the prime of his life. i hear him talk to girls on the phone but they never come by so i don't know ...

i tried to talk to him about it but he smelt like he had been drinking and started hyper-ventilating.

what should i do? i love him and don't want him to waste his life in the basement? please help.
