Both are beloved heroes in their own cities, arguably the best at what each does in their respective sports; but away and with the national media, neither can get a break.

Kobe seems to have a little better relationship with the media, but both aren't winning teammate of the year anytime soon. Both have league stars making negative statements about them (David Wells, Raja Bell...etc...) on a regular basis.
