I think any law abiding gun owner would have absolutely no issue with that whatsoever.
In fact, i'm about to get a concealed permit, that allows me to carry a handgun anywhere i want (except for a bank or church).
It's funny though, the one place i can't carry or own my handgun (Washington D.C.) is one of the most dangerous places in America. On a daily basis during the summertime its fairly typical to see a dead body covered in plastic wrap with cops standing around collecting evidence from a shooting.
