Brujah, from my understanding the processes are to detect if you are continuing to try to view the downloaded movies that were obtained in the trial, these are the only processes that should be running from my talks with these guys, if you continue to run the software it will continue to prompt you that you need to pay to view the movies. This is not really much different than any other DRM out there that when you try to view a movie that is DRM protected it will take you to a page demanding that you pay to use it.
I was able to remove this program without paying $100, so why were other people not able to? I sometimes think that the complaints add up and then we see them as a whole problem... We get hundreds of complaints of accusations of us stealing from our surfers because they see an initial authorization charge of $39.84 on our sites (that is in fact not fully charged) and then they flip the fuck out and go on a rampage, after we explain what they are seeing then they calm down and are cool with it, and most report no problems later on...
So that makes me wonder if the great % of these people even really are savvy enough to know how to uninstall something properly... I won't fault them for clearly stating what the program will do in their terms... thats what anyone should state... When it gets malicious and starts redirecting with link code changes is when I will be upset.... Until then I've seen enough right now to continue to fullfill the contract that I have with their markering firm that purchased our exit, I will be more reluctant to renew I can say, and if it is in fact proven that there is shady shit, we will probably not renew our contract at all..
I don't want to rip my webmasters off, that is not what I ever had in mind with this deal... Nor I'm sure did any other of the 10+ major programs out there who had and still have this marketing arrangement on their programs.
