Exactly, even John Cleese said that LOB wasn't making fun of religion but rather how some people blindly followed religion. If you're going to get so offended by a movie like that than check out George Carlin talking about religion because he'll knock your socks off.
I personally have no doubt that Jesus existed, but I have a problem following a 2000 year old book that was written by other people. You know how when someone hears something and then tells one person who tells another person and so on. By the time it gets to the 10th person it is completely different than what was first said. How do we know the Bible is exactly what happened. Maybe it's just me I don't know, but I would rather have my own relationship with God than join a group of people every Sunday at 5 AM and listen to someone read out of the Bible and tell me how I should be living my life.
