Yeah. That's why they (the guys above) came up with the concept of "freedom". Even poor people want to be free. That's the only thing they have (or think they have) left. Freedom.

When the government wants to defend military spending/action, for example, they use the word "freedom" and "securing the freedom of American people" instead of speaking directly of "money" and "taking care of *financial* interests".

Oh and I suppose that having prices around the EU jump about 25-30% ever since the Euro was introduced isn't a step towards financial slavery? The Italians are selling German tourists the same exact thing for 1 Euro that used to cost 1 German Mark.
1 euro has much more value than 1 German Mark did.
