It's a film, is it good or bad? I will put as much thought about it being real as I did with Star Wars.
Was Jesus married and a father? 99.9% certain he was, it was VERY normal for a Jewish man in those times to marry and be a father. The only acceptable ones who were not were hermit monks who lived on a mountain.
Did he marry Mary Magdalene? No one knows and definitely not Dan Brown.
Did the Crusaders find proof of his bloodline? The Muslims were either fighting the Crusaders or selling the religious artifacts. How many came back with relics? It was big business and the Crusaders would not of known if the "Proof" was 1100 yeays old or from last week.
This book would of sunk without a trace if the Vatican had not shouted about it, but they obviously learned from that and now shouting about the film. Having your "sort of" anti Catholic story marketed by the Catholics, for this I take my cap off to Brown.
