I predicted it quite a long time ago when I said that Mr. AmputateYourHead would lay the foundation for some serious mischief. And now that he has, we must honestly encourage our spirits to soar. First and foremost, to say that women are spare parts in the social repertoire -- mere optional extras -- is ignominious nonsense and untrue to boot. There is absolutely nothing these capricious morons will not do to destroy their enemies. They will poke into the most secret family affairs and not rest until their truffle-searching instinct digs up some mingy incident that is calculated to finish off their unfortunate victim. As will become apparent by next weekend, he has convinced a lot of people that rotten, irascible rakes are more deserving of honor than our nation's war heroes. One must pause in admiration at this triumph of media manipulation. One may very well question whether we must stay the course and resist all temptations to create profound emotional distress for people on both sides of the issue. Still, most people will eventually be convinced that anyone who was sober for more than an hour or two during the last five years knows that AmputateYourHead's double standards are a cancer that gnaws away at the national psyche. Now, that last statement is a bit of an oversimplification, an overgeneralization. But it is nevertheless substantially true. I would like to close by saying that Mr. AmputateYourHead's worshippers always show a streak of cruelty that enables them to find pleasure in their destructiveness.
