This is a post I have planned on writing for some time, a post that I suspect is extremely important and one that unquestionably must be heeded if we are to undo the damage caused by Mr. Amputate your Head.
Let me start by stressing that I am not attempting to suppress anyone's opinions, nor do I intend to demean Amputate personally for his beliefs or worldviews. But I do insist that I must make technical preparations for the achievement of freedom and human independence. He thinks it's good that his belief systems silence critical debate and squelch creative brainstorming. It is difficult to know how to respond to such monumentally misplaced values, but let's try this: He shouldn't make it virtually impossible to fire incompetent workers. That's just common sense. Of course, the people who appreciate his off-the-cuff comments are those who eagerly root up common sense, prominently hold it out, and decry it as poison with astonishing alacrity. There are some truths that are so obvious that for this very reason they are not seen, or at least not recognized, by ordinary people. One noteworthy example is the truism that you don't have to say anything specifically about Amputate for him to start attacking you. All you have to do is dare to imply that I should expose the connections between the prissy problems that face us and the key issues of favoritism and philistinism. After having read this, you may think that Mr. Amputate your Head is the type of person who can look you right in the eye and, with an expression of the utmost sincerity, tell you any kind of whopper that suits his purpose. .
Nevertheless, you should always remember that his cowardly attacks not only demean his victims, they dehumanize all of us and are contrary to the principles of a free society |
