I would suggest look first at the state you live in because that is where your physical presence is. Otherwise you will have to go to more expense to set up a minimal presence in the state you want to set your corporation/LLC in. If you are thinking Nevada is good because they are more tolerant with porn/obscenity concerns it really isn?t going to make a difference if your day-to-day business operations are carried out in another state. Criminal liability attaches were the criminal act took place. The fact that you have a PO box and registered agent in Nevada is not going to take the heat off if you are actually running your business out of say Missouri. For the most part state business entity acts are set up on model statutes so there isn?t all that much variation state to state. You have to be comfortable traveling to the state you set the entity up in. If you are sued by anyone civilly you have to travel to that state to defend yourself even a small claims suit.
