Then spend the next few weeks in the shit financially but working hard and most importantly DO NOT gamble.

A month or four down the road and the losses will be recovered by hard work (less if you earn well) and it'll all be a distant memory.

I used to have a nasty gambling problem many years ago. With me it took having to bring up children to stop me - fortunately they came first - and sicne then hasn't been a problem.
