Ok for some I will admit it must be the second coming or something.
Reasons:
1. Its fucking hot.
2. Its in the middle of the desert.
3. The dirt or playa is acidic.
4. Hippie overload.
5. I think it is impossible to lug in enough water and have room for other needed items like say food.
6. Food selection is sort if minimal, ice does not last.
7. Did someone say showers?
8. Nothing is alive out there, I mean nothing.
9. Sun block and fine dirt do not mix.
10. Some things just can never be unseen.
