I'm having the same issues with my accountant.

For our design jobs, they tell us to charge BTW, but there is no client willing to pay us an additional 19% for the already not cheapest job.

Funny thing is, they tell me that because it is a SERVICE provided FROM the Netherlands, tax is applicable. If you export GOODS it is another story. So .. if you buy a 300$ ticket to NY every now and then (without actually having to go there) and tell them you did the job(s) there, it is still cheaper than paying 19% tax.

Anyway, we did not pay it up to now.
