I live on the Mexican Border, yes they do get free Health Care. We have a Medical Clinic just for immigrants. Its called Ben Archer. Once my daughter got sick and I took her there, because I thought it was a regular hospital (we just moved here). They went and treated her, however told me that it would be better to go to the Hospital in town.

Ben Archer Clinic is run by volunteers, all their supply is funded by the government plus some resident intern do the scholarship there.

So, the answer to your question is Yes, they get free healthcare.. And yes they qualify for everything else the country offers the poor.

We have a variety of organizations to help the illegals, including but not limited an orphanage for "border children". Quite many mexicans will make sure they kids come over here to stay. About 3 month ago a car from Mexico was seen driving into a local PikQuick, drop of a 3 year old girl and drove back to Mexico. This child is now in the orphanage, which gets government funds.

You don't know how bad it is until you actually live on the border
