Start sending to every news organization you can think of (Liberal and Conservative). Do the same to FEMA in DC, the White House, Polk County Sheriff, just one big fucking mass email. Maybe someone will pick up the story and you'll get some attention.

The sad part is you're not the only one with problems and they all are getting complaint email.

I suspect that even a lawyer is going to have a hard time getting any fast action in the mess down there.

The only other thing I can think of is to say fuck it and move. That creates another mess if you have a mortgage. Call the mortgage holder and see if they have some leverage. Tell them your gonna have to move and you can't afford two mortgage payments. I suspect your insurance company could give a shit too (bad phun). Say your house is useless at this point.
