I don't think that unfounded conclusions are in any way are a symptom of Americans per se.... It can be pretty universal.
For example, regarding what you just wrote, a criticism of Canadian border guards, does not in and of itself, imply anything regarding US border guards.
Also, I think that MY reaction was based on the number of people on this board that seem to spend so much time focusing on America being wrong about everything, and never saying anything bad about any other country.
I was simply reacting to that very common affliction on this board. I was mistaken to include you in that. Sorry.
