German/Swedish mix. Settled near Hanover Pennsylvania (pennsylvania germans, similar to pennsylvania dutch). Most of my ancestors went to the one room schoolhouse at the end of the road bearing my last name. Old family farm is still on the old family road. Family were abolitionists, always believed in rights of all people being equal, not based on color of skin or country of origin.
My mothers side were the Swedes and I know less about them. I know they settled near Salina, Kansas and the core of that family is still in that area.
