I think Saddam's regime should be eradicated as soon as possible, but <b>not</b> so the US can install a new dictator that <b>does</b> give his oil to the US. Instead, I think the UN should work together to eradicate all regimes violating human rights. However, the US attacking by themselves and installing a government of their choice will only make matters worse for the local population, as history has shown us too many times already.

I think the Germans and Japanese are faring pretty well. We installed governments in both countries. General MacArthur practically wrote the current Japanese constitution.
