Is there a more USELESS service than ePassporte?
So I'm trying to send money to a photographer in Russia, but I get an error that says, "For security reasons this feature is currently not available to your account." After 1.5 hours total time on the phone (of that 1.3 are on hold), ICQ messages and unanswered emails, I finally get ahold of someone who tells me Russia is "high risk" and therefore cannot receive money.
After rounds of that, I ask to speak to someone higher up. Again, she says the entire country is high risk and cannot receive money. So even though I've called in, answered a zillion questions to confirm my identity, I can't send money because it's high risk. What's he going to do? cancel the transaction, so I get my money back? yeah, risky...I've confirmed the transfer itself is valid. Then she says there can be no exceptions because it's hard wired that ALL Russian accounts are high risk and NONE of them can receive P2P money.
I questioned that statement, so she then tells me he has an affiliate account which cannot receive money (I never even gave her the account I was sending to, but I'll assume the error tells her that). Then she says if he signs up for another account, a personal account with a credit card, he can receive money...even though he's still in Russia. This is crazy.
So now my production is held up because of one of the above reasons, which are apparently contradictory. Add this to the constant downage, bugs, lack of support, and $5 MINIMUM load fee, and I'm questioning why I ever use them...
